If this case truly has NO insulation inside or atleast in the corners then no way this thing will work. It will perform just like atomic imo.

Totally agree. After all these little coincidences with all the new members and I am fairly positive that this case will have issues just like the others, I am betting mine will be going back. And honestly after seeing the lock button opening, I am not sure my finger will even fit in there. Why didn't they add a button like the other manufactures did?
This is the first person that posted pictures and had a review. He's been here since 2008, and he actually showed pictures with the phone on where we would be able to see the signal strength (or at least a picture of the bars).
It does seem like the last group do know each other. None of them posted a picture with the phone on.

you are right. that one sounds legit. I doubt there's an issue getting the product. But I wonder if he actually has them in stock or just making it as he gets the orders.
It was mentioned somewhere that alumacse was going to provide tracking numbers. The only people who have the case are employee and one guy who made handshake deal to get it early.

Gotta love GPS stamping/ Geotagging on the iPhone. I'm curious as to how you found the GPS data for the pictures? Were they embedded in the meta data?
These GPS coordinates are pretty damn close.... but I'm not versed in longitude and latitude readings. Anyone know exactly what the distance differences(in terms of miles) a few degrees would be?

I actually contacted them before I ordered to inquire about stock availability of my colour before ordering. They told me it was in stock, but still no ship notice. Lord knows your review or one of the other regulars will be the only one I will trust. All these other "reviews" and pictures for that matter are terrible.
I'm a relative newb, but if you check the Atomic thread I did a review of that already. I'm hoping to have received my alumacase today: it shipped on Wednesday - will post when the stuff arrives.
So far I can't help but concur with the other posters however: Alumacase has been nothing short of responsive and professional. I asked about the colored backings and he told me that they are delayed because they felt the first run was too thin, and as such didn't feel comfortable shipping them.
Again, I'll reserve final judgement for "product arrival day" - but I'm in no way associated with alumacase, atomic, or any of these other manufacturers...and in fact am on the east coast, while Alumacase is in CA as I recall.

I'd tend to agree with that. If I saw that picture of the case (minus the packaging) I might actually think it was a variant of the InCase Slider. The biggest reason I didn't order one of these (and don't plan to) is because, as you said, the case doesn't really stand out in any way and I'm not a big fan of the color choices.
I dunno...with the carbon fiber backing I think it stands out quite nicely. Lets be honest, this design is what most of the manufacturers are using because it's the one that works and doesn't cause (in theory) reception issues and the like. Element, atomic etc are using a totally unique design which looks great - it also, in many cases, turns your phone into an ipod touch. So, if we've established that this design is going to be one of a few "stock" designs that work, I think building it out of aluminum, adding a carbon fiber backing etc is a great way to dress is up a bit.

I look forward to receiving mine and giving it a good once over: just hope i'm not in for the same disappointment I had with my atomic.I sent him an email earlier in the day asking about my order when it might ship since its international (canada) as well asking about adding a Carbon fiber to the order and about shipping for both items, since I believe he was asking $5 an Item, and we are being charged $15. So would that make my order an Extra $15 just for a piece of carbon fiber?

Checked it out in person today. Picked up a red one as I feel price was right for the quality. The owner is not a childish kid contrary to what some of you believe/post. I don't know why people are so cynical. Even if some of the posts are self advertisements of shameless plugs, does it really matter if the product is decent? Anyway. Will post review / pics when I get home.
