Checked it out in person today. Picked up a red one as I feel price was right for the quality. The owner is not a childish kid contrary to what some of you believe/post. I don't know why people are so cynical. Even if some of the posts are self advertisements of shameless plugs, does it really matter if the product is decent? Anyway. Will post review / pics when I get home.

**Alumacase shipping error **

Here is the body of the email I just received from Alumacase, keep in mine that when I placed the order the $5 off coupon worked

Due to an error with our mailing system you might be asked to pay a few dollars in shipping upon arrival of your Alumacase. We are going to rectify this with a 5.00 dollar credit to your account. We apologize for this inconvenience, please let us know if you have any questions.

Also this case supposedly shipped on Wednesday I live only 500 miles away USPS priority alway comes in 1 day and as of today no case.

Alumacase is making themselves look foolish after all the promises on here
 
How do you get charged $3 upon receiving the item? I don't get it. Won't USPS just send it back to the sender?
 
WTF....so I get 5.00 to my "alumacase" account? If that's the case it seems like a blatant way to get around the 5.00 coupon knowing most won't buy a 2nd case thus minimizing the actual offset of the coupons on profit.


Alumacase seems as bad as element and atomic....no one aside from those suspicious newbies have a case or the tracking number as promised.

Alumacase is slightly more than dishonest it seems.
 
I would love to know when mine will get here since I got email on Wednesday saying status changed to shipped but no tracking number....
 
Man guys, these people seem legitimate I don't know why all you people feel so wronged by a company that seems to be doing exactly what they have said they were going to do all along. Jesus they have even come out and said that they made a mistake and are correcting it by giving a refund and still some guy gets all cry baby about it.

Keep in mind they just started the company and they took as many suggestions as they could before they released their product going as far as implementing some of those suggestions.

Lets remember even established companies make mistakes so lets just take it easy on these folks as they just came online.

Johnny, you need to calm down a bit. There are always growing pains in any startup. I will be a witness to say that they ran into unexpected shipping logistics and they had a USPS rep there rectify it today. They are NOT out to get you/scam you. You don't have to take my word for it. If it bugs you that much since no one can change your mind, it is your option to not buy from them. If you had any experience in starting/running your own business, you might be more willing to be understanding. Kudos to alumina for actually seizing an opportunity created by the other companys lagging on their aluminum cases.
 
Finally got mines and here are some of the pictures I took with the iPhone itself. I am in a rush but I will post some later with the case on. As for the lining, basically looks like four cushions at corners, create a tiny air space between the case and the phone. It does make the phone a bit wider, but it makes the phone easier to operate one handed.

I will post more pics and thoughts after using it for a day or two.

couldn't agree more. i'm really impressed with their customer service so far, swift email responses and paypal refund (due to change in order). looking fwd to get my international order shipped on Mon!

Was wondering about that myself - emailed them asking about it earlier and didn't hear back either. My assumption is that they're getting bombarded...

As I said before, I'm still willing to give benefit of the doubt for a bit longer...hell if this works out right, I'll be receiving aluma and atomic at about the same time tomorrow :)

I got the same email. But thank you to Alumacase for being on top of it and offering a refund of the shipping before I even had a chance to notice. Thank you for being on top of it. Can't wait to get the case!!!

I'm glad aluma showed up to clear things up. I was really getting worried about how they did business. It's an honest start up business mistake/problem. I hope everyone gets their cases soon so that I can finally decide what color to get.

Please everyone post as many pics as possible. :)
