Why would I do that when I can just order an apple branded lcd (which is exactly what I've been waiting for) on monday?

I dunno, Apple's got it's work cut out for it beating those monitors that Maxx Power pointed out.

I always thought it would be cool if they for-goed the aluminum and had a screen with the display that was floating on glass. Like the million dollar sony plasma TVs. I think they look elegant and kick ass. Now take the glass and have a cool illuminated apple logo on the bottom and I'll take 12.

As long as they are about ten bucks a pop. :p

If you want...

If they (apple lcd's) are as flexible and durable AND have a glass coating in front of the fragile LCD which is prone to smudges, and if they offer an L-arm mount, I'd open my wallet up and order one too.

All their past generation LCD's has been about looks, nothing about ergonomics and other goodies, I don't think you should be subjected to making a choice between those things, competitive markets don't work that way.

These Eyegonomics LCD's look nice, but there's one concern in connectivity. Only the 24" model has DVI. All others have analogue VGA D-Sub. The 24-inch has Composite, S-Video, and audio in/out too, so that sounds good. Though, then we're back to the massive amount of cables. The adjustability is great, with those different mounts. Apple might not be going with the flow, and make different mounts, in the name of simplicity, but who knows. There are different mounts for the iSight... Well, we'll see at WWDC. Or then not.
