is it just me, or does the supposed iTunes 8 image look like the text is all off centered a little bit? not exactly Apple.

hmm good point.... this has to be a fake,

I really think that his has been put on the net by some high up apple people just in order to increase excitement the WWDC, and they will actually come out with something much much cooler

i didn't have time to read all 260+ posts, but what are we expecting from iTunes 8?? we've already got music, games, movies, rentals, podcasts, radio, etc. what's next? VR? could this tie into the patent application for the head-mount display? interesting....

I think these are real, not necessarily photos, but if they are I reckon that the wallpaper was added on afterwards...

Or they could be mockups for marketing. Do Apple sometime mock images up for the marketing rather than take photos of them?

I think they are real and that the Macbook is bigger because they are going to position the MacBook air even more for people who want a small laptop.

I think the black bezel is nice, it's amazing how often people complain when Apple change stuff, nobody moans about the Nano Phatty anymore or the new keyboard, most of them got used to it.

As other's have stated the Tiger desktop makes me think these are not official. I do however think the next case design will be very similar to theses mockups.

Fake:

1. Wrong desktop

2. Seriously, people think an Apple employee put comps on their own (Apple owned) .Mac account? The company that called the feds when the G5 PowerMacs specs were leaked?

Sure, they look cool. But I figure this is just a really good guess.

Tiger desktops aside (which I think seal the fakeness for me), Apple has said that it wants to keep Multi-Touch as a Pro feature.

I also can't see Apple dating iTunes 8.

Again, Apple discontinued the XServe RAID -- it is pictured.

I was going to mention that... I forgot :(

Perhaps the images are meant to be fake, as the Apple employee who has posted them didn't have proper photos, but he's seen/heard about the products so did mock-ups anyway?

I haven't gone through all the posts yet so if someone else has mentioned this then I apologize.

If any of this turns out to be true what I'm hoping for is a subscription based rental service in iTunes. I don't see how Apple can compete with the recently announcements (speculations?) of Netflix and Blockbuster both going to digital rental services which I'm guessing with be subscription.

I don't think I got the memo that said
April fools is extended this year!?

Who are these jokers try to fool?

Example: The fake "MacBook" is just the MacBook Pro picture photoshopped. Dimensions are wrong unless Apple wants to make a MacBook the exact same size as MBP (not happening).

didn't :apple: specifically state that they weren't going to a subscription service? of course they also said they weren't going into the phone business, so who knows. My concern about a subscription service, especially for video, is transmission quality. I don't know about any of you, but streaming videos from NetFlix is super choppy and requires buffering of many many minutes to show just a few minutes of video. (DSL connection) so if they are doing subscription service, there's got to be a way to improve transmission speeds. not everyone has a T1.

No way

I'm not buying this for a second. As has been mentioned, Apple does not use "the" in front of iPhone and iPod. The Apple designers tasked with creating these images would know that, so I can't even believe the stretch that these are early preliminary versions... that simply haven't been proofread yet.

And NO ONE within Apple would ever, ever, EVER post unreleased product images within a billion miles of a publicly-accessible system. Not even by accident. Not even while drunk. Not even post-lobotomy.

The only distant possibility here aside from "all-out fake" would be perhaps Apple intentionally leaking these prelim images to then monitor the fanbase reaction, perhaps before they fully commit to certain details or something. But this seems awfully far-fetched. And besides, Apple doesn't care about focus groups. :D

Not buying it.

If those are legit then I will buy the current generation. Sometimes change is not always better.

Front side camera?

Maybe my eyes are failing me but it seems like if you really look carefully you can see the outline of something circular to the left of the speaker on the picture of the iPhones. Camera anyone?

The reason I think the MBPs are fake is because the MBPs are aimed at the professional market, which most of the time prefer a matte screen option, and it seems Apple would be shooting themselves in the foot if they only offered an option for glossy screen.

On the other hand, I wholeheartedly believe the MacBooks will go Aluminium, especially because it is far better for the environment than the plastic casings used in the current models.

Holy cow batman, it appears so. Now I really want this to be real, as per my signature, I have sold the 1.0 iPhone and waiting for 2.0.
