I’m on 16.4 beta 2 and the always on display is getting turned off every time I reboot my device. Like the toggle in Settings > Display and Brightness will be off. I turn it on and reboot my phone and it will be off again

That's really weird...

The most infuriating thing is that it should be "smartly" learning user habits, but if I'm at my desktop with music blaring from my speakers and it shuts off and I tap it to turn it on, it shuts off again after 15s and I tap it to turn it on again, shouldn't it be smart enought to pick up that with all this activity I'm not actually asleep after 11PM?

Agreed. The fact that I’m sitting there tapping it to wake up over and over should be a major indicator that my ass isn’t asleep.

Yeah I agree. Usually on a Friday/Saturday night I either listen to a podcast or music in bed with the lights off and my airpods pro max on. Surely that's enough to keep it on!

16.3.1 here. Always on display is unreliable. Certain times, it just decides to completely turn off. Very annoying.

Mine turns off between 20.45 and 21.30 every night. Doesn't seem to matter if the lights are on or not. I wonder if it will ever be fixed.

I wonder how widespread this is? You’d think if it was everyone with a 14 pro, there would be some kind of “gate” attached to this……Alwaysongate? Either most people turn off the AOD, or it’s not widespread and it’s a hardware issue, maybe the light sensor

Hmmm. I’m going to try and see if it’s at a certain time if day. I do know that it happens in the evening for the most part…

I can't see it being a hardware issue as it was fine for me before 16.2.

I created a new Focus and selected the AOD to be on and the screen stayed on last night when I tried it. Will try again another day to make sure that I wasn't just lucky!
