Am I crazy for wanting to return my iPhone X for a Plus?

Went from a 6S Plus to the X and I feel like it's a step down.

I love Face ID, but everything else seems like a downgrade.

The screen looks great, but it does turn blue. It's 5.8 inches, yet feels a lot smaller.

Battery should be only slightly less than a Plus, yet it feels more like a 6,7,8. I would never worry if my phone was going to make it through the day with my Plus. Now it feels like I am afraid to use my phone cause I can watch the battery draining while I'm texting for 5 minutes. I'm currently on 60% with only 3 hours 30 minutes use

Edit:

Talked to Apple support and was told this:

The battery life does seem to be subpar at times, but I’m constantly using mine during the day. It’s near 30% by 5 pm, but this is with active use. I understand how you’re feeling though, my wife and I upgraded from the 7 Plus. The screen was an adjustment, due to it being taller and narrower. The other adjustment was changing the way we interact with the device itself.

For me, the X is better in every way. I went back to my 7 Plus to try it and I just couldn't. Very dated. Do what your gut tells you though.

Just to follow up on my original post in this thread made earlier this week - yes, I have made up my mind and decided to return my iPhone X and go back to my iPhone 7 Plus. I've decided I would be happier with next year's rumored "iPhone X Plus" and will upgrade to that when it's ready.

The iPhone X's screen, beautiful as it is, just felt like too big of a compromise.

How old is the X? What’s usage at 25%?

1. The phone needs to have your attention. Shut your eyes.

4. Of course the technology is not unsafe. That's like the whole phones can give you cancer thing.
An Apple employee handed me his X. I pointed it at him and it unlocked immediately. I didn’t open the phone but you can unlock someone’s phone that way.
[doublepost=1510280305][/doublepost]Yeah.. horrible 8+ screen. ..but oh those OLED blacks.

FWIW.. still small part of me wants X. Less than few days ago. The 8+ really is most underrated iPhone ever IMO.

If I didn't already have a 7+ to keep and use as a "nano iPad" with Landscape mode, I might have bought the 8+ instead of the X. I really do like the larger screen and landscape mode home screen and 2 column landscape apps.

Before the X I was using a 6 as my spare phone, for when I needed a smaller form factor, with my 7+ as my primary. It only costs me $15 a month to keep the extra phone active on the mobile share plan. This way I don't need to bring my iPad everywhere.

Now my 7+ is my spare and the X is my primary, where X lives in my pocket to work with my main phone number and Apple watch, and I keep the 7+ in hand most of the time for surfing, email, Facebook, and music in my car. I can run my 7+ down and not worry about missing calls if I kill the 7+ battery.

You're not crazy at all. I've decided to give the iPhone X until the end of the week, but I'm heavily leaning towards going back to my iPhone 7 Plus. The loss of screen width is just too much of a downgrade for me.
Same here. Can't stand the downgrade in screen size.

I️ feel you, upgraded from iPhone 6 s plus to X but I️ am not liking the new phone mostly because of the smaller screen.

Do people just not read this forum at all? Why is this discussion any different than the 5000 other X vs Plus threads?

“should I get the X or the plus?”
“which is better plus or x?”
“Thinking of returning the X for the Plus”
“Thinking of returning the Plus for the X”
“Am I crazy for wanting to return one for another?”

All the exact same topic. All the exact same mixed and inconclusive rambling opinions.

Just adding the clickbaity word “crazy” doesn’t make the topic any different.

It’s funny I been doing Samsung phones for a while and never experienced screen burn in unless it was a store model on a constant loop. Why does this keep coming up?

Its just the latest buzz word. I have owned all Samsung OLED screen phones and never seen or even heard of one experiencing screen burn. It would take many years of use for this to occur and other components would malfunction BEFORE the screen did.
The only mobile I have heard with a possible problem is the new Pixel. If this was a realistic problem XDA forum would be over it like a rash.
