Am I crazy for wanting to return my X for a Plus?

Well after a few days I gotta say, and I’m just being honest, this phone is not as bright as my 7plus. There I said it, this new oled screen is just not as bright as the older LCD screen. The colors are fairly nice and hey it’s oled, so yes it’s nice. Not possible. You need to turn off Auto Brightness on the X. It has been moved to General/Accessibility/Display Accommodations. I compared it to many different Plus models: they all look archaic in terms of screen quality.

I agree. They should have offered a plus option of the X. No one had a choice this time around.
 
I too, going from the screen ratio of the 6s+, am struggling with the narrow screen of the X and lack of landscape modes (Home, Music etc). This forum for example looks cramped. Only had it for a few hours though...we'll see.

Update: However, my coworker thinks I've been smiling all day because I just got back from a Caribbean vacation; but it's because I finally got to activate my X.

I think the phones will approach $2k steadily but people will pay it and there will be lines for it. This is the new drug - coffee/caffeine addiction without the chemical dependency. This is the new jewelery for today's tech-dependent generation.

After a full day with the X, I’m just as torn as I initially was. Love the overall smaller form factor. Not loving the keyboard and narrow screen. Between the keyboard wasted space and apps that need optimized for X, there is a significantly smaller amount of usable screen area on the X.

I’d say I’m 60% convinced I’ll swap it back for an 8+.

Ugh, I have a 6+ and when I read things like this, it makes me want to rush out and buy an 8 plus!

Still waiting for my 10 tho and will make the call before the 2 week window is up.

Regardless what the actual surface area, I just emailed and viewed IG on my 7+ and it just fits me better. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to suggest an 8+ over an X to someone who was sold on the size of the Plus models.

The topic is inviting opinions. I gave mine. You could easily have ignored it. Sorry you're so butthurt.

Of course, there's nothing dumb about responding to opinions that don't match yours with backhanded insults.

1. The phone needs to have your attention. Shut your eyes.

4. Of course the technology is not unsafe. That's like the whole phones can give you cancer thing.

You’re not crazy for wanting to return it. You ARE however, inconsiderate to have rush ordered or dashed to a store queuing for hours to get your hands on one early only to return it days later. Both to yourself and to others.

Just like a marriage. Don’t rush into choosing your new device. I’m sorry it wasn’t for you.

I'm torn myself....i got the X but traded in my 7plus (which im sure is long gone now)

im not sold 100% on the X...i got used to how big the plus was and i could navigate just fine on it.

X just seems like a downgrade....like i'm using a toy compared to the Plus. wish i never would have traded in the phone and kept it to make sure first..
now I'm stuck with the X or get an 8 plus in 9 days.....UGH !!!!
