Ok so just a touch should be ok.. I'll add more than one coat over time. What did you use to apply it? Kitchen towel? Toilet tissue?

I just used my hand. It was easy to tell if it is too much because it won't absorb. If you have some left on the case just wipe it away. Let the case sit a while before applying additional coats. The leather can only absorb so much before it just sits on the surface but again, just wipe off the excess and it should be fine after a little while.

Yes I see what you mean! Wow this thing is nice to touch! The leather is so soft. Nicest case I've ever owned just not sure on the £40 price tag from a protection view point.

I overdid it with the non-liquid kind. I used it on my black and my saddle brown. The brown looked good but the black had white all over it this morning. I was very disappointed. Maybe I just used too much?

You can get rid of those white residue by either using a blow dryer or letting it sit in the sun for a while. That'll help melt it into the leather evenly. I know this because when I applied the coconut oil from the jar it left white around the Apple logo, but after applying some heat it just melted.

Thanks for that!

Well on your way... it started a case at a time for me.. then multiples started showing up daily. I have a Totallee scarf on the way, one off eBay and a couple off Amazon lol. ‍♂️ Next thing you know in the middle of the night you start having case babies

Yep, two came today and have 5 more on their way from China...

Ikr! Thanks.

Alternatively you can also just use regular olive oil if you don't have coconut oil. But yea I used bought coconut oil from bottle and the jar it makes no difference as far as I can tell.

...surely regular olive oil, will just leave the leather case feeling greasy and oily every time you hold it?

Surprisingly that is not the case at all. It gets absorbed very quickly into the leather with no oily residue whatsoever. Just avoid putting excess oil, 3 to 4 drops on a microfiber per application.

Well I'm not sure but after a coat of coconut oil last night I think it is ever so slightly darker?

The stuff I'd posted earlier does darken cases so I'm assuming that a lot of these leather conditioners and waxes will do the same? It doesn't appear that much darker but I do think if you like it the bright red, be easy with the conditioning products.

For those wondering how the red leather looks after a few months and couple coats of coconut oil.

How are the ringke cases?

Had a coupon so less than $4 a piece. They're pretty good for sub $4 cases honestly. Good grip. Like both. No horrendous flaws, seem made well. Slim fit is tight fitting and has camera lens protection. Uses actual iPhone buttons. Both pretty good cases for the money

How does one get coupons?

I tired the tumi in black for my 7 plus. Really Liked it minus the $50. However, it kept messing with the power button

It's not very clickable. It's also very tight to the phone, which is a good thing...but seems to press the phone on at times.
