Love it...I think your trolling here. You just joined MR:confused:

Cracks me up how you accuse people of trolling when they are new to the forum. I've been reading Mac Rumors for a couple of years but never really wanted to join the forum until I was preordering my watch, I was very excited and have enjoyed talking with everyone about the watch, check my stats, I've been very active since joining and unless you know your facts, you can move on.

Just because I am happy with my watch, that's makes me someone trolling? Wow.

I still love mine. I see myself finding some new ways to use it in combination with my watch to get a bit more organized in general. Overall the next few days will be interesting to see how I use it in my normal work day.

The hardware is perfect. I am anxious for more apps.

Are you kidding? I love mine! No one, I repeat, no one thought this through as much as Apple did for this Watch.

Apple knew they had poor battery life, so they went OLED, restricted applications (some might see that as a con, but it's a Watch, what do you expect), tailored WatchKit around increasing battery life, near-perfected the wrist detection feature, added power reserve, made their own freaking single computer on a chip, did the others even come close to this? Those who do get better battery life skimp on things like the display, or have an e-ink display, which to me just looks ugly and dull. And I can't stop looking at how beautiful the Watch's display actually is. Would I like it so much if it had a Pebble display? Definitely not.

Then there's the notifications. The taptic engine is so cool! It's definitely subtle but that's the point, it doesn't annoy you like some of the other smartwatches out there which just buzz your wrist. Other smartwatch makers didn't even think of any other things they could do, just buzz your wrist, and be annoying was their intention, apparently. They just didn't care enough. With the taptic engine, I don't even have to look at the screen to see that it's time to stand up, I will know by the gentle "tap-tap" it does. This is different from other notifications I get like Messages which is a vibrate then a tap-tap. You slowly learn these things. And to me, that's what's so cool about it.

There's no one else that comes close to what Apple has. And there's something like the ridiculous Samsung Gear S, which just looks asinine. Clearly they thought Apple would be going this way so they threw it out there hoping it would catch on. Moto 360 looks cool, but having a round face watch when Android Wear wasn't designed for that a misstep in my opinion. And to top it off, it has one of the worst displays compared to other smartwatches out there.

I'm not sure what people thought when they bought the Watch and are now returning it. If you want it but can't afford it, wait. If you want it but can't justify it, don't buy. If you see yourself using it but ultimately pointless, don't buy. If you just want it and know it will change your life, buy it! It's pretty simple. After all, isn't that the reason why we buy iPhones? Because it's the best of the smartphones out there, and because it's not laggy, filled with bloatware or demanding when it comes to resources as Android devices. We buy it because we know we want it, and are not going to return it because "my order didn't arrive at launch!" like some guy running around this board is currently doing. Or complain that Tim or Angela messed up the launch and they should be fired. I guess I'd better prepare myself for those who will surely say "oh you're just saying that because you already have one". *sigh...*

Anyway, if you couldn't tell from the fairly long post above, I love my watch. But I will even use a stronger sentence to describe it. I love it more than I love my iPhone.

me too!

I'm not saying that Its an absolute must have, but there have been plenty of times that I deferred to my watch than my iPhone for my messages, checking the weather, ordering chipotle, riding my bike, listening to my music, adding things to my calendars (I honestly never even used my calendar before having the watch, Now I use it for everything). I even talk to Siri ALOT more than what I did lol. I literally ask about everything.

Just told my wife that this is my favorite :apple: product yet. I'm even using my phone less now and I must say closing the rings on the Activity app is pretty addictive.

right???????

closing the rings is like playing a game. I've been doing a moderate level so far, but I think at the end of the week im gonna boost to to an advanced difficulty.

Love mine.

I did have an issue with my 6+ randomly crashing today. I did a hard reboot and left it alone. I just started fiddling with both my phone and watch and so far it seems to have stopped that. I think people were expecting more than what it is, it's nothing more than a smart watch. If you can accept that it is an extension of your phone and that you'll need both to fully function I think you'll appreciate it more. I can't compare it to other devices as I never owned one. I can say that I do enjoy the haptic feedback and the fitness aspect of it. It's exciting to think what developers might do and just how much software updates may or may not improve things until the 2nd gen comes out.

This is a potential problem for Apple.

With iPhone sales keeping Apple fat and happy as it's greatest source of profit, any reduction in use and sales of iPhones will be detrimental.

Should that occur it's going to be very interesting to see how Apple responds.

Apple are too smart for that. Future versions of the watch and phone will have features that require you to update both

Agreed

Had the watch since Friday and loving it. Using iPhone less. Battery life fine for me for both watch and iPhone. It does everything I thought it was going to do. There's only one thing I would like and that is to be able to see how many steps I have walked by looking just at the watch. As far as I can see there is no way to see my steps without looking at the phone.

Only problem I have with the watch is my wife is going bananas with my continual mentioning of the product. Although to be fair I have been mentioning the watch every day since it was revealed...

Ho hum.

Shawn

The watch has very quickly become very useful for me. I already feel like its an integral part of my "wear". Excited to see future updates and new apps. I think the watch is going to become an incredible product in time.

I think it's great. Of course, I've always loved watches and have worn one continuously since I was 7 or 8 years old... and that was a number of years ago. I even love checking my heartbeat just to reassure myself I'm still alive and kicking. I've never had a watch that I could play with before. My main concern was battery life, but I'm finding it excellent.

I"m loving mine, i think it's great for a first generation product, and it does everything i expected it would do.

I'm going to an Apple Store today to get Applecare+ put on it, as i've banged it a couple of times (nothing major, it's still unmarked), but i am a bit clumsy so the peace of mind will be good.

Notice I said "potential." The public is smart, they understand how expensive it already is. Those who really want an Apple watch now, and like their 4S are out of luck because you must have an iPhone 5 or higher for the watch to work.

It's more than just price. Being forced to give up the 4S you love, and not being a tech person is not acceptable for some. Especially when that means it's going to involve learning the new phone and watch. Way more complicated for others, than us.

That's why I say it's a very interesting time right now. There's no question Apple's brilliant. But that's not always enough. Time will tell.

Wow, so many threads today with people saying they are going to return theirs or sell them. I hate to see so many were so excited and just 3 days in people are bored with them.

People say all sorts on forums. As someone who has no interest in the Apple Watch, I'm finding it more fascintating that, now everyone is getting theirs, I'm not reading or seeing anything that's changing my mind and making me want one.

You can see steps from the workout app on the watch. Just swipe down of the first screen (the one with all three rings) - took me a bit to find this too.

I love the watch too. I feel less tethered to my phone and stop constantly checking for missed messages.

Scroll down on the leftmost page of the Activity app!

Oops, I see this had already been mentioned.

To be fair the 4s is 3.5 years old and will likely be dropped from support soon (it likely won't get iOS 9), and those who bought the 4s in the last months before it was discontinued are less likely to splurge on a Watch, anyway. Those who bought it in 2013 are up for an upgrade this year and so will be encouraged to get a 5s or 6, which do work with the Watch.

Love it. If this is v1, then can't wait to see the software updates we will get, let alone a v2. Good times, great product.

if you have 2 apple id's one for itunes purchase and one for icloud, which one do you use with apple watch?
