hi guys and girls,

So I currently have the iPhone 6s+. My second sealed 6s+ which I received last week in an Apple Store, because the first 6s+ which was sealed and a free upgrade from my many 6s's I got from Apple because of continuous display issues had pixel and panel quality issues.
The current 6s+ is making me crazy because I think the top right corner's backlight seems to be lower than the rest of the display.
Certain apps with coloured status bars appear to be brighter on the left hand sight and darker on the right hand side.
My parents for example don't see this. Some electronics store employees ( not Apple employees) didn't see what I mean but then later agreed that the right sight is slightly darker.
The displays backlight seems to be decentral when on maximum.

So as far as you can judge from the pics, am I to anal? Over analysing ?
This phone really bugs me, that's why I asked to return it to the store and get a refund. I ordered the se because I'm sick of the 6s display issues.

I think the pics don't show the problem properly. They were taken with an iPad Air 2 on different levels of brightness

Reading text is annoying because I believe the background changes from left to right
If you're using the word 'believe' then you may have a problem.

My 5s has the same thing, and I only ever notice it on the black background when it turns on. Also of note is the 5s and SE displays are very similar.

I used believe because this bugs me so much that it appears sometimes more and sometimes less depending on what kind of light is around me in my environment.

Here's the truth, you can ALWAYS find flaws in mass produced items. It just depends on how hard you look. I struggle with this, too, at times. I've really had to work on not letting little things bug me. It will ruin any enjoyment that you may get from anything. The next phone you get might have something worse.

I say this as someone who has bought high end watches. My policy is that if I have to use a loupe/can't see it in normal circumstances, it's not worth fretting over.

That's just me though. Don't drive yourself crazy.

Then that should be your answer right there. And in fact, you've answered your own question several times in the comments. You are not going to get validation from this community. Return it, chance getting another one with better or worse problems.

OP - take a deep breath and relax. You asked if you are being anal. I think the consensus is yes, you are. What you choose to do with that information is up to you.

Personally I have had devices in the past with very slight screen imperfections, and eventually forgotten about it. YMMV.
