What's really unbelievable is that you went through a dozen of them for something that most people don't see it.... Such a great passion and energy you got there. It must've been time consuming process. If only people spend same amount of it to saving earth from trash and global warming....smh. Cause in the end if no earth, no perfect iPhone...

actually its not time consuming, i drop it of, the next day i get another one. also have a backup phone so no beat is being missed. and the store is a 5 min drive.

what most people dont or do see is not my problem.

my problem is that i cant get a uniform white screen without dust from a top of the line device in its category. adding insult to the injury, exactly the same thing applies to my 2012 imac.

appreciate your ignorance. i certainly do.

I honestly think he just wanted to get rid of you.

Joking* aside, why not have a look at a S7 or similar flagship? Moving from iOS > Android isn't that hard, and you might find your ideal device.

*Erm...right....joking.

Sure, good luck with Samsung/LG/Sony/HTC replacing your phone multiple times due to yellow screen, dust under screen etc.

Cheers !

That's probably what the OP needs. A manufacturer to tell him/her to stop moaning, and either use the phone or get something else.

Apple are being too nice, not to their workers in China of course, but to their ultra-picky customers.

Cheers!

I think the pics don't show the problem properly. They were taken with an iPad Air 2 on different levels of brightness

Why would you take this shots with an iPad? Just grab a screen shot right from the phone (home button + side button). Then send the picture(s) to you computer and then from there, include them in your post.

How would a screenshot show an inconsistency with the screen?

That's the reason I quite using apple phones, every iPhone that I owened had display issues.

First iPhone 3G with a lot of bad pixels.... iPhone 4s with mura ...dust, foreign objects in the lcd, severe light leak, and last the iPhone 6s with extreme dark on top ( all most every iPhone that I checked in store display have this).

IPhone display it's a joke.

Got myself on of those Galaxy S6 , BOOM, amoled perfection with higher resolution an far less money paid on it.

Yours looks pretty perfect that being said.

Who cares what anyone else thinks? If it bothers you, exchange it. Certainly don't waste your time asking other people if they think it looks defective, especially not people at the oh so pious and snarky Macrumors. People here can't wait to shout OCD for anything they can't immediately see in a jpeg.

Hell, there are people who will walk around with a shattered screen as long as the phone works. Everyone's threshold of tolerance is different.

Asking other people if you should return your phone is like asking them if you should like cheese.

12 replacements so far suggests the issues may not all reside with the phone.

Not even sure where to start with this one.

Lets see now. You joined 5 1/2 months ago, and this is your very first post, and it had to be a negative one. Got a Samsung instead (when ?). Me thinks you were just waiting for the right moment to post on this forum. And if you love the samsung so much, why did you come back here to post ? You had iPhones before, but never posted before on your issues. Sounds suspicious to me.

Juding from last picture and other pictures after, the top of screen are bit yellow than rest of the screen. This uniformed yellow screen has been long problem with iPhone and you are not the only one.

I have other apple products and i love tech in general. I been a macrumors reader for longer than 5 months.

As for your judgement, common are you serious ?

Like one of you guys said before, I now have dust or whatever under the display glas on the top left corner. I'm totally returning this and getting a refund. Anybody telling me I'm to picky in terms of quality I salute you.

Do not see what you are in your image. But if you are unhappy, return it and get your money back and move on. No sense is making a big thread about it as no one here can help you. Get you money back and check out the android devices.

I don't mean anything against you, but basically with this you are saying
a tiny dot of dust=$700
...... it's not like I don't understand how you feel. I've exchanged mine before with "hairgate" and also there was 5s with reddish screen, then there was 5s with severe battery drain. But then I realized that this is a phone I usually keep only for 2 years, not a lifetime.. I do get you though, the dust is a dot right now but might collect some more over time.
Please let us know the outcome returning it.

I paid 750€ for the phone, I earn 900€ during my internship monthly. It's not my first iPhone, had the 5s before which was flawless. I want a phone to keep for several years. That's why I bought the phone straight and didn't get it through a contract from my carrier.
If the phone has so many issues right from the beginning, it is not worth trying to keep it for a longer time. Any android device I owned before cost less and haven't any issues with the displays. You guys ignore that Apple wants us to know them for their quality products but I don't see any quality right now. You still defend where nothing to be defended exists.

And at the same time there are likely many people out there with Android and all kinds of other phones or devices or products in general that had some type of issues with them even right from the beginning, all while many others didn't.

I'm not seeing the issue, but I also don't believe anyone should be rude on any forum for asking the question. If it bothers you, take it back. As far as android, I have probably 7 different android phones over the past years and all of them had some sort of the problem. The biggest problem, software updates were ridiculously slow which equals security issues. That is why I switched to apple. Personally, I would live with a minor perceived screen imperfection before going back to Android, but I would also expect the product I bought to be as advertised. Just my 2 cents worth and good luck to you. Cheers!

I'm currently not planning to get an android. I was satisfied with my 5s when I made the switch from android to iOS. I ordered the se and will give it a shot. If it's decent within the 14days return warranty I'll keep. Otherwise I'll either get back to my old Galaxy s2 for some time or get me a cheap lumia and see how the upcoming iPhones will turn out.

See I might be picky but I expect quality for my money. I do all my best to earn that money, I try to do quality work and I expect to get a quality product.
If I had these issues with a phone for 100-200€ I'd say okay I'll accept it or send it in for the manufacture to check it out and get it repaired. If the same issue occurs over and over again within the first 6 months after purchase I have the right to ask for a refund in Germany.
Apple knows there is a issue with the screens otherwise I wouldn't have gotten so many replacements.

I'm out here and not willing to argue/discuss anymore. I explained my point of view.
Thank for your replies anyway.
