I just got my tracking number, so it wont be delievered today for me. UPS doesn't even have the package yet.

Yours could still ship today, depends how long it stays in that stage. Good luck!

Glad to hear that wheels are at least in motion to get it to you and hopefully it'll arrive sooner than later!

On the way!

I didn't have to hold my breath for long...both have shipped-received confirmation and tracking numbers! :D
YES!

One is scheduled for delivery for tomorrow and the original order still says delivery today per Amazon;however, UPS tracking info says "Billing information received" for both so I really don't think that today is likely.

Whew! *sigh of relief!*

I just received my MacBook 2.0 from Amazon that I ordered on Jan 28 with overnight shipping.

I noticed something interesting. I could see the shipping label that was used when Apple shipped it to Amazon's distribution center in Kentucky. Out of curiousity, I entered the tracking number on the UPS website, and it showed that Amazon took delivery of the MacBook on February 20!

Who knows why it took Amazon a week to finally ship them or why the customer service reps were still telling people that the release date is April 13.

"Not yet shipped" and there's been only the $1.00 charge to my CC for verification-nothing else.

Same thing happened to my cc for days already. Does this mean my MBP will be shipped very soon?

That's very interesting. Does Amazon repackage the MBP retail box in their own "Amazon.com" box or are they just shipping the MacBook Pro boxes as is?

The MacBooks are shipped in the same shipping carton that Apple uses to ship them to resellers, which is slightly bigger than the actual MacBook product box.

I noticed that my MacBook Pro box had two identical factory seals, and one was already broken. It looks like someone at Apple opened it and then resealed it by applying a new factory seal over it.

Has anyone experienced this with their MacBook Pro boxes? I called Amazon, and they insisted that it came that way from Apple. I called Apple, and they couldn't confirm or deny whether it was normal but admitted that it was strange and suggested that I contact Amazon for a replacement.

I called Amazon again, and they are going to exchange it for me. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow for a few weeks, so I don't mind having to wait for a replacement.

Mine also had 2 seals, I don't know if 1 was broken already...but looking inside, nothing was wrong with it. It also looked like Amazon just took the apple ship carton and just turned it around and reshipped it out
The exterior carton seal wasn't even broken.

I'm fine with it

Anybody have the infamous "whine" noise?

...now that everyone's MBP's are arriving, I was just wondering-and hoping that maybe Amazon got a good batch.

My 2.0 that arrived from Amazon is perfect. I am hard of hearing but I don't heaR any whine.

My 1.83 that my wife has has a bad pixel and won't sleep when the lid is closed. Apple tech wants it back so we are waiting for the Apple Store near us to get one in and we will return it for a new 1.83 for her.

So far so good

Congrats!!!

It's on the way to me, out of Amazon's hands.
It all has worked out. Congrats to everyone. Now I just have to straighten out the 1.83. I have a wife who is as much into Apple computers as me. In fact she might know more than me. When I update it always means x2:D

Sweet! Is that everyone now?
unfortunately, no. I have a 1.83 Ghz MBP ordered on Jan.19, no shipping yet. Delivery estimate: March 20.
So the question is, does anyone have a 1.83 Ghz machine shipping from amazon as yet?

The interesting thing about the 1.83s on the Amazon site is that the site states they are no longer available. At this point, the only MBP that can be ordered (from Amazon) is the 2.0. Not sure what his means for pre-orders. There is always the option of doing a click-through to see if the 2.0s are available. I just ordered mine this weekend, and it should be here tomorrow.

Good luck TheBigApple2006!

Called Amazon... No Joy

Very Sad...

Just got off of the phone with a very nice CSR. She swore up and down that none of the 2.0's are shipping yet. She looked at the queue starting from Jan 11 and said that none in that queue have shipped (apparently a very long queue). She asked me where I had heard that the macbooks were shipping and I pointed her here to this thread. She said that she would make a note of this discussion and try to investigate if any had shipped. I'm not expecting too much. I guess I'll wait and see what develop's in this thread and call back later in the week to bug them.

This whole thing is incredible. They don't even know what they've shipped???
