Does this mean they are discontinuing the microwave and wall clock?
None of these items address the real concerns I had when trying their predecessors.
Echo Devices: these are incrimental updates as far as I can tell. The tile thing is a brand deal and likely didn't need any changes. The lack of a tiger option on the full size makes me far less interested.
The gaurd feature was free on the old echo devices. Is that changing? Do I now have to pay for a feature I already had?
The eero, and the eero pro should have 2.5 gbps ethernet. I would say the pro should have 5 or 10 gbps.
The car alarm sounds annoying and likely fails to replicate the value of OnStar or similar service. The fact that the Car Cam isn't called the Car Cam 4k makes me think it's a pretty crappy camera.
I suspect the drone cam is going to not work well, and I bet it's going to cost $50 for each base station. Does it have 4k video? What's its field of view? Where does it record to and what happens if the wifi/internet goes out? What security protocol does it use?
The fire sticks have always been a joke. I will wait to see what the new one is like, but if it's the same UX than it's dead out of the box as far as I am concerned.
Luna could be ok. That controller looks cheap, and I still don't understand what cloud direct technology is. The controller is 802.11n, and even the Steam link sucked via 802.11ac. It doesn't matter if the inputs to server are within 10 ms if the input to display is 80 ms. Heck, even pc to ethernet was questionable with the Steam Link, and now we have slower WiFi protocol that has to leave the house and travel back to the device. All at the low cost of 10 GB/hour at 1080p.... Eek.
