A first step would be to update the iOS App. Airplay is just working fine but without Dolby Digital support it is almost useless for me.

This is where a large segment of the streaming community that doesn't give a rip about quality doesn't care while they watch their content on cheap Kmart LCDs. The problem of course is that Apple has ventured into the home theater market here where the expectation of quality is far greater. Roku got it and to some extent Amazon got it.

Streaming in the home theater arena is about content consolidation, not quality degradation. Apple better wake up, though I'm happy to see 7.1 now in use with many titles.

Last I checked I could AirPlay from the Amazon Video App on my iPad and Dolby Digital passed through just fine.

No thank you. I hate using my mobile or tablet device to control something. Have to unlock and input code just to do anything. This is why I hated the Chromecast. Either come out with a native app I can use an acutal remote with or don't bother.

Awh I thought the appletv remote will control the program playback after you start it... So pause skip etc on the remote. I'll have to double check...
