Just be reasonable Mr. Jobs. Be reasonable I plead you!!!!!

Lets face it:

Soon (hopefully ): :p
PM 2x2.3Ghz 2Gb ram with 20"

It's OK. I am just a little bit too easily upset about this subject in particular, because this is my first Windows Laptop ever. I always had PowerBooks before. The problem is that I really like this machine. The only bad thing about it is that it runs Windows XP, but actually I never had a problem so far with the OS and so far I could not collect any arguments against it. It just works and that not too bad. In all other aspects it is a really decent machine and blows any PowerBook out of the water. Except looks maybe. But time is money and my customers don't pay me for how my Laptop looks like...

I wish they would at least update the display and the interfaces (e.g., add FW800) of the 12 inch Powerbook. It's way to expensive for a better looking iBook, and I wonder how Apple dares to sell a computer with a display of such miserable quality...

Uh, have you missed the mood change? We're not bitching anymore, we're holding our breath in anticipation. Get with the times. :D ;)

South Korea and india are still open.

I don't think there are official apple online stores there. I may be wrong though.

And if this is some indication (which it obviously is, at least up to now that is):

I just came off the phone with Apple Business Sales and after a brief chat about scsii cards in pci or pci-x slots - he said he couldn't say much - but that he would call me back at 2.30 to confirm specs - since he had 3 other calls to make after lunchtime. I mentioned the amazon thing, and the whole tone of the conversation says to me - its gonna happen at 1.30pm gmt!!

He also suggested we could talk about possible price reductions also!!

interesting.

it's just twenty-something minutes more!

YAY!!! :p

How Long?

Does anyone have a sense of how long it typically takes to for the stores to come up after the US store has gone down. Since we're not waiting for a keynote to finish, I'm not sure what type of timing to expect. I've got to be at work in an hour and it takes a half hour to get there. I'm wondering if I'm better off leaving now in hopes of getting there before the stores reopen or if there's a decent chance they'll come up during the time. Thoughts?

Do you think I have time to go get a sandwich, anyone?

ETC

Yes!

I estimate an 8:15AM EST at the earliest.

Probably 8:30AM EST ... or worst case before 9:00AM EST if all the systems are getting Tiger pre-loaded etc...
