I think there is going to be a lot of buzz whenever they kill off one of the central or more beloved characters in the show. I'm not sure how many people are analyzing it as deeply as we are though. :D Not sure if you watch the Talking Dead after-show, but one of the guests made a good point about how the fans label characters as "unkillable" due to their popularity and that as writers it's always a challenge and a risk to take out one of those fan favorites.

I am hoping he didn't go out this way. I am however hoping that if he does survive this, that when we finally do get to see the big baddy with the baseball bat
he is killed that way. I hope the writers and crew do not soften it, do not play it down, I hope it is just as brutal as the comic book plays it out. Shocking, brutal, and you are left with a big ole gut check after reading it

That is how I hope he goes. They really watered down the "gov", so my hopes are they do not do the same for the next guy. Now granted I don't think he will be dropping the F-Bomb like he does in comics, but I hope he is just as nasty as we have read him to be.

That will bring the show and it's watchers who do not know what is coming to the brink. His death hit the comic book fans pretty darn hard and this show is way bigger than the books!

I agree 100%.

If this is the end for Glenn Rhee it's too inconsequential as compared to the events that lead to his demise in the comic book.

Indications are that Rick will finally lose his hand and Carl his eye soon to match the book. Even though Kirkman says he regrets having the Governor take Rick's hand in the book.

Are we actually done with The Wolves or not? The Scavengers were dispatched quickly in the book, but they didn't have elaborate traps to catch people like Daryl and Aaron.

I think we are done with the Wolves. I think Rick took out the remaining players in the motor home. That is my feeling anyways. We never really did get to see how big of a group they actually are. But I think they are done.

Although, for some reason, I kept thinking the little girl that was friends with Carl was one of them. I don't know if she was a spy or not, but she felt like she might be one of them, just without the "W" on her forehead.

Its another wasted plot point. The build up to the wolves has been building for how many episodes now? And what happens, these crazy dangerous people, who somehow have NO GUNS!!!!, attack the town, kill a few but most of them are killed. They then attack Rick (by sneaking up on him and missing an easy shot) and he kills the rest of them for now. Big deal. This show can be so great at times, at other times, jesus christ, who writes and directs this crap?

Oh I agree with this......... Come on guys, give us something good with them. Yes they hacked a few people up. But come on!!!!

That's why I'm not sure we're done with them. There's the whole Enid is a Wolf theory and the Wolves are the Saviors theory.

Unlike the Termites, it's not clear to me that they're done.

I only have seen TWD up to Season 4. My gf and I are big fans of it but we don't have AMC and just wait when each season finishes to get the entire thing on digital download or on a disc. I didn't like S4 much except the mid-season finale between the crews from Governor v Rick.

Thanks for all the links and Internet that god damn Glenn dies or did he? Yay! I don't understand all the spoiler talk with it though. I like Glenn and never seen any episode from S5 and S6. But Glenn wasn't a big deal to me whether he is dead or not. Shane, Lori, and Andrea were far more useful and tough. Glenn is like Charlie and Hurley in LOST. Comic relief stuff. Like a weaker Jin. Are many Asian guys relating to him and there is all this talk? At the end of LOST S4, it looked like Jin died too didn't he until he showed up again in S5 before really getting killed off with his wife at near the series finale. And John Locke did die in Season 5 and he was the best character in that show.

I think Season 2 was the best season in that series thanks to Rick v Shane. They lose Dale in it too. Season 3 was pretty good, then S4 went mediocre except for a couple episodes. I've read S5 was excellent though. I don't understand hyping and trending a character death in a popular show. LOST killed off Sayid, Jin, and Sun all in one episode. The Walking Dead killed off Shane and Lori in S2 and S3. That was two of the top three headliners behind Rick. And I can't imagine a sadder ending than Hershel getting beheaded. What I do like with TWD over LOST is how they die is far more dramatic.

Shane was the best parts of early season TWD. They pulled off some Obi-Wan v Anakin in Mustanfar stuff that went deeper than those Jedis. I also miss having Merle around. As long as this show doesn't kill Daryl yet. Or did they already?

*looks away*

Can't wait for The Force Awakens. Every start of a SW trilogy kills off a major character (Qui-Gonn, Obi-Wan) and Ep 7 may not be any different as JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof originally want Jack Shepard killed in the very first LOST Pilot episode. We didn't get that until the series finale. At least in a movie, we get spirits and dream stuff for reappearances but we don't wait entire seasons. I don't mind the buildup but I also hate the waiting and death teases for it.

Pretty sure Glenn was quite instrumental in a lot of things that the group has been involved in.

No real surprise, but looks like the show has officially been renewed for season 7 for next fall.

S6 E4: Here's Not Here

I thought it was a great way to bridge the arcs and give more backstory on Morgan and how he became the Morgan we now see at Alexandria. I wasn't expecting one of the Wolves would be the one who he was divulging his past to...and even after he did, his kindest was still the same. Made me wonder, will we meet the leader of the Wolfpack or are they really just a loose group of scavengers and looters that take joy in senseless killing. It seemed that one Wolf was brainwashed.

It was great to see Morgan overcome his inner struggles during this episode.

I understand when you commit to a new way of life, you abide by that code, but when the one Wolf still pledged to Morgan it was still his duty to kill Morgan, Alexandrians and their children, I thought Morgan would have realized theirs only so much "redirecting" you can do. I thought Eastman's death would have at least gave light to that and Morgan would have went Luke Lightsaber on that one Wolf.

RIP Eastman and Tabitha.

Seems like they are setting up another flashback episode or maybe gearing up for the mid season finale soon since we are only four episodes away...at the end of the episode you can hear Rick screaming "Open the gate, open the gate!"...so we clearly know he makes it back, but it what condition..? And we still have yet to explore Daryl, Sasha and Abraham's journey. From the trailers before S6 even started it looks like Daryl is going to get captured, and I've read somewhere about Sasha's death soon, but my guess it that could be either Abraham or Sasha...who knows what or who will be at their destination and if they even make it.

Everyone else's thoughts on last night's episode?

For those who have read the comics.

It's interesting how by bringing Morgan back in this way they can start looking at some of the themes that are in the comic far more recently. Rick deciding not to execute Negan and just let him rot in a basement while Maggie executes Gregory after he tries to poison her. It's like Morgan is already where Rick gets to much later in the story.

I really liked the episode and John Carroll Lynch always turns in a good performance. I perked up seeing his name in the opening credits. Morgan at least did lock the door of the house where he left the Wolf unlike Eastman.

I hate that we've got so many groups separated out now as it lends for many weeks not knowing what's going on with the others. Glenn, Michonne, Rick, Abraham/Sasha/Daryl, Alexandria, the captive Wolf are all each distinct separate story lines. Looks like Michonne and Rick at least get back to ASZ for next week's episode.

Last nights episode was excellent. Yes it was a little different than what we are used to seeing, but man, John Lynch was outstanding (I really like him anyway). I knew he wasn't going to make it out of the episode though. We were bummed seeing him go. Really liked his character.

Did you notice that the actor that plays Glen was not in the opening credits?

While it was an excellent episode, and yes John Lynch is amazing, I was disappointed because after last week I really didn't care about how Morgan came to be where he is mentally/emotionally/spiritually. I want to know what's happening right now. Considering how quickly they have resolved some story arcs, it seems they are really dragging this one out.

I thought I was the only one  however, I chalked it up to he may just may not be appearing in that episode, for hopes that he may still be alive of course.

I thought the same thing, but then I went back through it and the others were listed~!:eek::eek:
Could be part of the suspense they are building. Could be because he is actually not part of the show anymore (with the character being killed off)--although they could have kept on listing him at leafy through the mid-season if not the full season finale.

I caught up with the last two episodes. I knew XXXX's fate, but did not expect it that way. :(:( Morgan's flashback episode was super good, one of the best of the series for its zen ;), and I'm pissed that they could bring in such a charismatic character for a single episode, to usher him out the door. o_O

I said that same thing about that character. Man he was good. It also helps that I really like him as an actor.

It may be in the name of semi-realism to kill off the most popular characters, but at the risk of undermining the show's popularity. Despite this, this season started with a tremendous bang and is continuing arguably as strong as the first season. Hired new writers? ;)

Could XXXX still be alive?

I questioned the way this scene was shot, along with online speculation. Is it possible that the body we saw being eaten was the other guy laying on top of our favored character?? :D:D

Lots of online speculation and I think the writers and show creators are letting us stew in the aftermath not giving us any hints or ques if he is or isn't. Me personally, I hope he isn't, because I want to see the way XXXX gets it in the books. Visceral, shocking, brutal, and a nice kick to the gut.

Wow, we just caught up on the latest EP, Here's Not Here, and holy smokes, what an incredible "standalone" EP. Lennie James was +outstanding+, and a nice guest appearance from JCL who just did a great job portraying JWG on AHS :D

What is this, the monologue episode? Someone has to make a speech every five minutes. Well, at least the flight of the fear of the walking dead still sucks.
