What is this, the monologue episode? Someone has to make a speech every five minutes. Well, at least the flight of the fear of the walking dead still sucks.

Ha. All filler until the pre-mid-season finale and mid-season-finale. I think they're just trying to set things up until we get the Glenn backstory possible Jesus introduction, Daryl's capture and whether Sasha, Abraham or both are the next to die..but the way Rosita was crying before the episode's end makes me believe it might be Sheamus, I mean Abraham at the very least. We got his backstory so long ago and his character has made no real progression than extra muscle. Unless it's another on screen romance with Rosita I say his days are numbered. Same with Sasha, with Tyreese gone, not sure what else she has to hold on to, especially after her inner mental struggles. She managed to overcome it, but if anyone from Alexandria survives there has to be room made in the core group so someone from Rick's group has got to go. Glenn, Abraham and Sasha are all possible but damn, can't we just off Father Gabriel instead?

The sewer walkers were awesome though.

I also liked that Maggie turned back at the end. It would have been too far out there for her to suddenly defy all odds and save her man. Far more realistic to have her do what she did.

After coming back to mostly following the comic book for a while, the departures from the source material are dramatic so I frankly don't know which characters are important to the story they want to tell going forwards.

I guess Denise and Heath won't be a thing...

Well since they have deviated from the story so much, not really sure who will be next. In the book Abraham time is up very soon.

Hey I killed your husband a few days ago, wanna make out? And what's with mayor whatsherface aging twenty years and walking around the town like the crypt keepers wife? I'll bang on this fence! That'll show em, you dang walkers, get off me lawn!!! Yes, she's old and I pirate for some reason. Shall I go on? Ok, hey here's a sewer walker, he's scary so I can't do anything to defend myself. And what, everybody thinks everyone else is dead because they didn't come back right away? And Glenn has no last name? Seriously, let's give up all hope. The towns people. What a bunch of Little babies. How about you make some really long spears, get up that freaking wall and start killing some zombies? Do something useful. And Maggie going in and out of her southern accent. Was this a troll episode? Let's see how bad we can make this one and still get fawned over by the talking dead.

Was it really that bad ? If so, it makes me glad I'm skipping this season till it gets to Netflix :D.

Lotta filler this ep. Bound to happen. The Head lady did look like a walker moping around half the ep. :)

Aaron seemed to be moving into Glenn's territory pretty fast! He's still walking around out there in some form or another. Geesh! I know Aaron gave a small speech about why he felt responsible, but I didn't recall that ep at all. Can someone help me fill in the blanks?

I thought Aaron was going to swoop in for a kiss, but with his partner still alive probably not the best move for him.

What Aaron was referring to was when he and Daryl were out scavenging/recruiting..he dropped his pack while avoiding capture in a booby trap set by the Wolves. It had loads of valuable intel on Alexandria. This was at the end of season 5. You also see an episode where one of the Wolves is cycling through the photographs and other information which was foreshadowing that they would eventually strike. Lastly, when the Wolves did attack Alexandria, one of them dropped the pack upon being killed and after Morgan and Carol held of the Wolves, Aaron found his pack and blamed himself their location was discovered and they were attacked.

There's a lot of shock that's in play there. Probably overdramatized in parts, but overall more consistent with what a real human response would be to these types of things than what our expected "TV/movie" response would be. It's like when a lot of people see something happening on the news and say they would have done this or that and would have taken care of the situation, but when actually faced with those types of situations unexpectedly most of those same people would have reacted in much the same way and nowhere close to what they are thinking would have happened when they are just sitting back somewhere hearing about it happening to someone else afterward.

 just ok?! Episodes 2-4 were all greatly done..some didn't like how slow Morgan's backstory was, but I feel the story was told quite nicely.
I think they are all quite good. Sure some are slower than others or talk about things that not everyone might find interesting, but they all mostly server a purpose of one type or another (again, even if not everyone necessarily appreciates various backstories or just in general slower episodes where things are sinking in and people are reacting in one way or another).

Yeah, I'm pretty critical and just can't enjoy shows once there is a really dumb moment. I kind of liked the action of the first episodes but I felt Morgan's story was too long and slow and I just didn't get into it.

If you are interested in characters and personality dynamics, the Morgan episode was different, but really good for me. I'm thrilled with how this season has been going, much more dynamic than some previous seasons.

It's is a good season with all its faults. I watched the pilot yesterday. Zombies were so different than now. And Glenn looked like a baby. Hit me that Carl has of course grown up way more then he should have for obvious reasons. On lost, they just got rid of the kid to avoid that.

Another meh episode. One guy gets bit by a trapped walker cause he can't pull away ??? Another death because a woman falls down!!! Just get to Glenn already.

Tough crowd.

MAYBE it's Glenn on the walkie at the end.

But about tonight's episode...

Everything now is just laying the groundwork for the mid season finale:
-with the mysterious voice on the walkie that said "help"
-anonymous group and Wade character...
-what about the herd Daryl, Sasha and Abraham were leading and did the walkers keep following the trail? Is the plan scrapped?
-surely we will see Honey and whateverhisnameis again, but probably right before they meet their fate...
-still not sure what to take from blood seeping through the walls at Alexandria...maybe a sign that the metal is giving way?

Sasha + Abraham's romance made me chuckle. Swirl in effect. I still remember Rosita oddly crying in last weeks episode...now she may really have a reason

About next week's...

It's going to be interesting to see how this meeting with Rick, Michonne & Morgan goes, Carol's take on everything, and what becomes of the other Wolf still held captive....oh yea, Enid is still out there somewhere.

I smell debauchery brewing.

Meh?

I must have been watching a different episode! We learned a few important new things, and Abraham got some new toys.

There are other group(s) of survivors nearby, beyond the wolves.

There is a group around that is feared by the others.

These are all elements of the next phase of the arc of the story in the comics, and I for one am glad that they're not rushing it. We know about casting decisions for two major characters from the book, so at last that much is coming.

Saviors? That is who I am thinking.

I think this hints at both Hilltop and Saviors.

Jesus and Negan have both been cast already.

Yup, there was almost a shot for shot of when we first meet the Saviors in last nights episode. The legs as they were walking from the big truck. Four guys etc. Also there was mention of kneeling before a person. I also noticed they didn't show the faces of the guys who got out of the truck and who were talking/yelling at the three people.

Just finished the ep. Had subtitles on and at the end, it said "Man's Voice." "Man who sounds like Glen," would have been a more accurate description. Good ep. Character builder and plot mover. I am amazed at how comfortable these folks have become with the walkers. With Abraham and Sasha leaving the one alive in the glass conference room and him getting in the face of the soldier. They really don't Fear the Walking Dead anymore. I like how that's subtly being portrayed now. Don't know why the guy and girl turned on Daryl suddenly. Seemed a little inconsistent with those characters up until that point. Glen first reached out to Rick on the walkie. Are they bringing that plot line into play?

Let me just be the first to say it.

No, I can't, cause I don't want to spoil for those who haven't seen it yet.

I really didn't expect to get any closure tonight. Figured we'd have to wait until after the mid-season hiatus. I'm just so happy I could cry!

You should be in this thread if you haven't watched the latest episode. Yeah we got closure but was anyone really surprised?
As for the rest, I'm not worried for stupid people who do stupid things. If spencer wants to put himself in danger, go right ahead. I'm not on the edge of my seat hoping he will be saved. And don't tell me the walkers have this whole town surrounded like an army. They go to where the sound is. There has to be places they can hop the wall, get to a car and lead the walkers away. Or spear them from the top of the wall. Nah, just wait for something to happen like it did tonight.

Oh, forgot to mention teaching the kid whose dad you killed how to shoot a gun. Yeah, he might not want revenge. And Jesus Christ why would he need a lesson before stealing one. He can't figure out how to shoot one gun???
