I will be doing WTFIW with 3.1 gb/sec of 2TB SSD and an overclocked NVIDIA Titan hooked up over Thunderbolt 3 in an external liquid nitrogen tank.

Yes, let me turn up to a meeting at a client with a liquid nitrogen tank. That's very "pro" if "pro" means teabagging other tweens in shooter games.

okay I see.

And the Razer Blade 14" is thicker than MBP too.
a trade off, a little thicker, a little more powerful GPU.

I like the Razer blade, though it does get very very hot, and very loud. I'd probably still get one though, if it had an apple trackpad and mac OS
Yes, exactly. I think the thinness is probably the main reason for the lack of GPU and the lower PSU. Apple is handicapping themselves with their thin obsession.

I would prefer a simple integrated graphics card (and lower weight, price and power consumption) and then Apple could make an external graphic card that is powerful enough for games and VR.

$2,800 for the Emoji Pro with a $50 bottom of the barrel Polaris GPU with 2GB of memory.

I feel bad with Apple. It is like when you break up with this guy and you stop seeing him for a year or so. Then he calls you back and I get exited and I forgot all the bad things and we go out, he has a new car and worked out and stuff. But as soon he open his mouth... is the saaaaaame thing... boooooorring... immature... his issues with his mom.... The same crap.

I know I know it runs Windows but for $3500 you get and you can further customize if from here with other processors.
Processor: Intel Xeon E3-1505M v5 Processor (8MB Cache, up to 3.70GHz)
Display:17.3 4K(3840x2160) IPS Non-Touch Graphic Card (Yes 17" 4K)
NVIDIA Quadro M5000M 8GB
Memory: 32GB(16+16) DDR4 2133MHz ECC SoDIMM (upgradeable to 64mb)
Solid State Drive:
512GB SSD PCIe-NVMe (can add a secondary drive ssd or HDD)
Optical Drive / Secondary Hard Disk Drive:
I'm just sayin! Why can't apple just throw in some better internals.

I'm sorry but this is truly pathetic. They only offer up to the 460 in even the top end MacBook Pro. Where's the 470 or even 480? You can spend nearly 5 grand after tax on the maxed out MacBook Pro and you're getting an AMD 460 and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM. Please tell me how Apple is not trying to rob everyone blind? Prices haven't been this absurd in a very long time.

Well, 10,000 dollars for a smart watch.. let's not forget about that one ;)

You people are so daft. While you are bawwing, I will be doing WTFIW with 3.1 gb/sec of 2TB SSD and an overclocked NVIDIA Titan hooked up over Thunderbolt 3 in an external liquid nitrogen tank.

Get a plastic, piece of crap PC if you want!! Or if you are unwilling/unable to afford the best laptop on the planet, the MacBook Pro.

Evening Phil.

That's another 17", 7.5lb monster. If Apple released this as a MacBook Pro the tears would fill an olympic pool

The 17" razer pro is almost 8 pounds. I get it, it's powerful but it's double the weight. Not exactly a comparable.
Then get the 14" it is pretty thin and has lots of good hardware in it.

My Macbook pro also gets very hot and loud so whats your point? And my razer blade 14" is pretty thin too. And I am pretty sure the graphic card in it is more then a little bit better.

They went for AMD because Final Cut is optimized for Open CL and AMD cards perform better with Open CL.

So, this is the Final Cut Macbook Pro? Maybe there should be a Photoshop Macbook Pro and a Gamer Macbook Pro.

Listen, maybe everyone that runs Final Cut uses a Macbook Pro, but not everyone that uses a Macbook Pro runs Final Cut Pro. Why would you make a major design decision like choosing a GPU based on one software program? Apple OWNS FCP...they COULD make it work better with nVIDIA if they wanted to.

It's honestly ridiculous. If I'm going to be charged exorbitant amounts of money for a product I expect more from it. Their laptops were already expensive. This is just a slap in the face to all their customers. And I was truly hoping Apple would put more powerful GPUs in their laptops this time since the AMD rumor started. I was genuinely excited. But not only did they put the bottom tier comparable 460 in their laptops, they have a custom even-lower-than-bottom-tier GPU in the 450 offering, which aren't even available as desktop counterparts. They're exclusively underpowered just for the MBP line. Unbelievable. And you can't even get the 450 until you spend 2400 on the base 15". It's actually become hysterical.

Great. You're one of the ones who chooses to buy someone else's technology. Your dollars will contribute to another company's profits, thereby enforcing their competition, and further driving forward the progress of technology.
Just realize - it's all the same, and whining about one company's decisions is silly, myopic, and self defeating.
Congratulations on your ignorant, self-absorbed indignation and decision to back another company's profit mongering with your hard-earned dollars.
You do realize that NONE of these advancements actually qualify as basic-human-needs, right? That a HUGE percentage of the world can't even fathom such luxuries, because they're just hoping for a bag of rice and a trickle of disease-free-water from the communal well? None of them give a crap about whether you can get a 450 or 460 or 480 for your dollar, or whether or not someone else is offering a better chip for a lesser price. Because they don't live in a country where that choice is even made possible by free-market competition. Stop friggin WHINING about how it works in a free-market economy, make your choice, and enjoy without constantly criticizing the process that makes it all possible.
Or - move to Nicaragua and enjoy the progress they have there.
BTW - you spend a LOT of time negatively commenting on a site which promotes products that you clearly see as inferior. What a miserable, lousy way to waste time... why not just head over to the Microsoft forums and sing the praises of the new Surface products that you're clearly more personally satisfied with? Or else, apply for a job at Apple, because you're clearly more capable of running one of the most profitable companies in history better than the current crew. Either way - you really find the most satisfaction trolling around here and bi***ing about how dissatisfied you are? Sorry, bro.

Man I had $5k to spend on Apple today. I was looking for a MBP top of the line plus a 5K monitor. Apple failed on both ends. 16GB RAM in 2017? overpriced machines, awful looking LG display and dongle madness due lack of ports. Sorry I'll pass.
My 2015 MBP is about to expire warranty and I will buy another 2 years of Applecare and keep it running until it dies for good or Apple get their act together. I wish I could drop it for a PC to send a message but my entire industry relies on Apple for the most part.

Razer is throwing in a GTX 1080 in the razor blade pro and Apple cant even get close to that at the price they are asking LOL.

And a GTX 1060 in the razer blade
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade

Swap out the relevant parts for the current parts for that year, and this same post has been made every year for the last decade. It's about power usage.

The Razer Blade Pro, while a pretty cool machine, weighs just shy of 8 pounds and is absolutely massive compared to even the largest MacBook Pro. It's like comparing the towing capacity of a Tesla and an F150. "For that price Tesla doesn't even have a truck bed. LOL." It's true but kind of missing the point.

The 1060 in the regular Razor Blade, while outperforming this thing, has a TDP of 75 watts. (https://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graph...GTX-1080-1070-and-1060-Enter-Gaming-Notebooks) I can't find a firm TDP spec for these Radeons, but I'm betting it's well under 50 watts.

The Razer Blade has a 165 watt power supply (250 in the Pro) vs 61 and 86 in the new 13 and 15 inch respectively. Cramming a 1060 in the 15 inch would leave 11 watts for every other component without increasing the PSU. It's about performance/watt, not just performance. If you have other priorities, cool, but there's no great revelation here and nothing to LOL about. It's the same as it's been for years.

Dell have even better offer. Intel® Xeon® E3-1545M v5 and Intel® Xeon® E3-1575M
Better graphics card NVIDIA Quadro M2000M med 4 GB GDDR5
up to 64GB ECC or non ECC DDR4
15,6" UltraSharp UHD IGZO-skærm (3840 x 2160)

Dell and Lenovo they also doing lightweight products but they not calling those "PRO"

Just out of curiosity, what does 16GB of ram in 2016 mean? I've got 16GB ram in my late 2013.. and i've never once even came close to using all of that, and i'm a power user. In fact, I run three 27" in displays, I have about 50 - 70 chrome tabs open at any given time. I run FCP, play CS:go, watch movies, and not to mention photoshop.

I don't understand why people keep mentioning 16GB in 2016, as if it's a bad thing. Are you just saying it because you heard others saying and you wanted to fit in.. or ?
