A good night tonight overall. I think Kristy Lee Cook is going home tomorrow. That song was horrendous.
Oh- yeah, I know. That was a shame. I usually like him a lot. It's tough when they narrow the song choices down to a particular artist or band. I felt bad for David Archuleta too, but I think he still did a decent job even with forgetting the lyrics.
i think david archuleta made a poor song choice. we spent the whole night trying to figure out what song he would do. my first guess was hey jude, yesterday was another top pick. but i knew he'd do something more upbeat because of what he was told last week. i know you have to be able to do different things, but he really knew what he was good at and did it well, he may have blown it this week.
i know he won't go home, david hernandez and kristy lee cook have guaranteed that for him, but he made a big mistake this week.

Especially Kristy- that was horrendous. How does anyone get this far and make that big a mistake?

Perhaps you have forgotten Taylor Hicks' attempt at "Take Me Home, Country Roads" a couple of years ago (when that week's theme was country music). I'm pretty sure that's what he sang. It was a disaster.
But yeah, I think all of the other contestants probably breathed a sigh of relief somewhere in the middle of Kristy Lee's performance (sic). Either she or David Hernandez is (should be) going home soon.

Haha I have noticed that this ENTIRE season. It bothers me much but maybe its some sort of technique or something lol because he has a very good mature voice..I was kinda sad because David Hernandez left tonight. I still think Kristy should go home. Oh and did anyone see Sanjaya

Randy, Paula and Simon said her performance of the Beetles song she sung last night was "safe and boring." I thought it was nothing short of spectacular; I loved the way she sang that song with such a soothing tone. I love her voice; if she made CDs, I'd buy them.

I'm mad once again. Kristy is still in American Idol! Ugh. They let a very good singer leave! Amanda Overmyer! She was really good! Kristy has only good looks, which I guess makes people vote. As Simon stated last week, the show is mostly a popularity contest, not talent.
Saying a good singer is not really true. Amanda is a screecher. And if this show was a true talent contest the rules would be different. The talent would be better too. And the judging would be actual judges. All American Idol is is a ratings booster. It has nothing to do with finding the best talent.I'm mad once again. Kristy is still in American Idol! Ugh. It's official- Kristy Lee Cook is now the new Sanjaya. Why the hell she's still there is beyond me. She's been consistently horrible for weeks. At least Amanda has some personality when she sings.
And sorry- gotta agree with the judges on Ramiele. She was almost as bad as Kristy. She does have a good voice, but she hasn't done anything with it for the last few weeks. She was extremely boring this week.

I thought that maybe she was "Vote for the Worst"'s candidate, but according to their web site they've been supporting Amanda for the last few weeks.
Given that Kristy Lee has been in the bottom three for two (or three?) weeks running, it's just a matter of time before she goes home. Just be glad that this was the last week for them to butcher Beatles songs.
How about it? It was bad enough the first time. What in the world possessed them to do it again?
