Since you didn't see the show, you may not know that it was Arron and Mike in the bottom two--so it may come down to fan base as far as Mike and Casey are concerned.
With the apparently strong fan base for Casey, since he didn't do well on Tuesday, I can see him coming in third, and Mike coming in fourth.
The top two should be the two who have not been in the bottom 3 which are Lee and Crystal. Casey and Mike have both been in the bottom 3 more than once.
Did anyone see the story about the ratings being as low as when American Idol first started in 2002?

Well, think about the singers, overall.
This is easily the worst group I have ever seen, but I did miss season 1.
Lee, Mike, and Crystal are really the only top 12 level singers on this show. The other 9 may have not made it to the top 24 in previous seasons.
My prediction is a lot of people who have not entered this contest will look at this season and say, "I can sing way better than those top 12", and we will see the likes of Carrie, Ruben, Fantasia, Clay, Jennifer, and Kelly once again. I am a mediocre singer, but have been in a lot of bands, and if I were younger I would enter AI. This year is pathetic besides the top 3 I mentioned.
Wow- last night was MISERABLE. The only good thing was Lee and Crystal's duet. Everything else sucked big time.

Cannot disagree! The whole thing was awful. The duet with Lee and Crystal wasn't so great either, but it was the best of the worst. Either Mike or Casey can go. It's a tough call on who's gonna win, tho. Lee, IMO.
The only reason you stopped watching is because there were no "hot babes". You never watched it for the singing in the first place.
Lee will win, with Crystal coming in second.

Mike went home. What a sin. Casey should have gone home.
Two out of three who I thought who would make it to the top three made it.
It was kind of a shock to see Mike go. I think what we will have is a final between Lee and Crystal in the final week. My vote goes to Lee to win it all. Sometimes when a final seems obvious, it isn't. When the two Davids went for the top spot in a previous season, it was David Cook who won to my surprise. Both deserved the win in their own ways, and in this season there could be good arguments made for Crystal and for Lee to be the next American Idol.

LK you were right the J-Foxx show was atrocious...but good duet Lee and Crystal I will buy it...
Casey is all guitar, no singing...interesting that he outlasts Big Mike...

Mike's elimination didn't surprise me at all. He was voted out once before, and my wife is happy Casey is still in. She thinks he's cute. I agree an argument can be made for both Lee and Crystal to win. Lee is more original, but Crystal is more polished. Tough call, but I think Lee will win.
Casey might be cute, but that's it. He's the kind of guy to whom I would say, "I'll sleep with you as long as you promise not to talk."

What else were they supposed to do? Tim went home a few weeks ago and they just like sending text messages.
Girls are what kept Tim Urban on this show way too long. I will give Tim a heads up for being one of the most improved of the top 12 on this show. That being said, he never stood a chance to win it all.
Casey, with his female following, at least stands some chance since Casey is a better singer than Tim by a mile. If Casey were a little younger, he would abolish Lee and Crystal in this season. If Casey were 19 years old, he would be on his way to Justin Timerlake type of stardom and sales.
Tim, for his credit, was not a bad guitarist, but Tim just didn't come to life soon enough. Casey was great in the duet with Mike.
The final is still most likely to be Lee and Crystal, and maybe with some help from female fans, Lee will pull off a win. Crystal can be said to be the more consistent and original of the two. If Crystal ventured into this show a little more without her guitar, I would say she would have been the easy favorite. More often than not, the guitar hid Crystal from the audience and we didn't get a chance to have an idea of what a talent she really was.
Lee always had the talent, and some saw it even when he was very shy. Lee is almost up to full time stardom status as far as how he carries himself onstage. Somewhere I don't think Lee believes he can win this whole thing. If Lee had the confidence the posters on this thread had for him, and he showed it on national TV, this would be Lee's season easily.
The finals will be very interesting and it will save the previous poor ratings and call ins. There were 37 million votes cast this week, so finally people are watching and bringing in the text and call in income the show sorely needed earlier on.
The best thing that could happen for this show would be a real shocker where Casey put down the guitar and really sings up a storm (make Cara cry as in Mike's amazing past performance, belted it out like Sibohan on the high notes earlier this season, or shocked America when Crystal nailed it onstage w/o guitar) ... and go into the AI finals. The ratings would be high. People like underdogs like Casey.

You're right. But Casey had plenty of opportunities and while he is pretty good, I think we agree that Crystal and Lee are simply better. The difference for me is that while I think of Casey as a good singer, I really see Crystal and Lee as likely future artists.
