Mandisa's out and Bucky is still in it? Bucky?

Actually, I think Kelly Pickler and Ace should go before Bucky. All 3 should have gone before Mandisa.

Based upon yesterday's results, all bets are off as to who will win it. Once Mandisa's singing preferences became clearer, I felt her time was drawing nearer for elimination.

sometimes people don't vote for someone they perceive as safe

i expected mandisa to be the last woman standing in this male dominated season of american idol

Taylor lucked out this week. He stank it up big time. Mandisa wasn't great, but there were many worse performances: Paris, Bucky, and Taylor, of course.

Ace sang well but his song was about how he never cries, which was, frankly, impossible to believe.

There was no way Bucky or Kelly was going to be eliminated this week: all the country fans watching were going to keep them in on country week. Watch out next week when Bucky tries to sing a Queen song, though!

In danger next week: Bucky, Kelly, Paris, Taylor

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Bucky had one of the better performances last night.

Ace will be voted out tonight. I'm starting to think that the competition is Chris' to lose at this point.

bucky is in danger though, as is ace...kelly, paris, and katherine are also likely bottom 3 contestants

elliott may or may not be bottom 3 with a mediocre performance of an incredibly difficult song which impressed the judges

chris is safe for sure and taylor, while not at the top of his game, will also be safe

...if katherine had some stage presence, like paris or kelly, she would be a contender

She had stage presence last night, as Simon said, the lighting director did very well. She was kind of sillhouetted and it was dramatic to match the dramatic song. Her arm movements were simple, but powerful. I thought she did well this week, when it comes to stage presence.

I won't go through all the contestants like I usually do because I'm at work, but I think Ace, Bucky, and Kellie Pickler need to be eliminated. Elliott did pretty well, so did Paris. I liked Chris' performance, but he still bores me a bit.

I thought Ace was HORRIBLE last night. His looks have brought him this far, and a terrible rendetition of "We Will Rock You" will hopefully send him home.

My bottom three:

Ace "My looks have kept me here by teenage girls" Young.
Pickler.
Katharine.

Did anyone else think Katharine was a complete self-absorbed B**ch last night?! When Simon said "You need to thank the lighting director for making you look so great tonight," and her cocky reply was "Yeah, I do look amazing tonight." Up until that point, I was a big supporter, but she just lost my vote. When the word "Idol" is in the title, the competition should be about more than who can sing the best. When I vote, I look for a great singer who has respect for EVERYONE that put them there. To have no respect for the people who work hard to make sure they look great is completely disrespectful. All she had to say was "Thank You."

My vote for bottom three

Ace Not his best performance and little girls can only vote so much
Bucky (Can't stand him never could, never will.. Wish we could vote to get rid of people)
Elliott I really, really like Elliot but this was the worst song choice he could have ever made.

I am really torn, I am a huge Queen fan and I love the song "Who wants to live forever" and had I never heard the song I would probably have been impressed by Katharine.. BUT.. In my opinion she murdered that song.

The only person that truly impressed me was Paris. If nothing else for the fact that she is only 16 years old and sings that well

do you think she meant it that way?

she seems humble, and laid back, but too much so to capture the audience thus her showing in the bottom 3

i liked watching kellie **** the stage... she's so hot
she must stay on the show til the bitter end where
she ultimately loses to chris...

the show sucks this year overall... mandisa went home
too early... bucky and ace need to go... soon...

queen was too much material for this years band of
losers...

I didn't think she was being conceited about it last night. She said she looked good while laughing and then immediately after thanked the lighting department (which seemed like a serious thanks). Sometimes you gotta lighten up and joke to break the tension and treat the nerves. My guess is that that was what she was doing. Give her a little credit and look at the whole picture rather than jumping to conclusions straight away from a small little snippet.

She never said thanks. I just checked my DVR, and the only thing she says is "Yeah, I do look amazing," in a tone that I would consider to be very self-absorbed.

I don't think I'm jumping to conclusions at all. Sometimes, you can just tell people who are conceited. There have been several other instances with her and other contestants. Look at Ace. Are you going to tell me he doesn't think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread? You can just tell by his facial expressions, tone, comments, etc... I hope I'm wrong, but when you go from being a regular joe to a "celebrity" in such a short time frame, you change.

This is flori, and I'm too lazy to log the hubby out.

Okay, well... for whatever reason I thought she had thanked the lighting department--maybe I mistook her for Pickler who seems to be overly thankful and respectful to everyone. I still am not convinced that she was being conceited as she seemed more nervous than conceited, but then I thought she had said something she apparently didn't. I'll admit when I'm wrong, but I'll reserve judgement on her until I see more.

Can I pick em or what. Did anyone feel that 1 hour was a little excessive? Are they going to do this from now on?

the one hour show was a good changeup and i don't think they will need to do this again until the final show, which will possibly be two hours...american idol has seen some decline this season but it's still a top show

all i can say is that i am glad that elliott made it through to next week and i hope he gets votes from former chicken little fans and bucky fans..i still believe elliott can make the final four (which besides him, can be chris, taylor, and katherine or paris)

ace and kelly are probably the next to go...ace has nine lives and reminds me of john stevenson, the red headed crooner from a previous season who seemed to outlast better singers, and kelly is like carmen rasmussen of a previous season, who got by on mediocre singing but cute blond teenage looks which are likely to hook in britney, lindsay, shikira, and christina fans

i think a lot of country fans like kelly and her down home demeanor and when she is voted off, they will go to down home taylor...ace has votes which will probably go to chris and elliot

though katherine may be the best singer technically, she doesn't stand a chance against the men in this competition like chris or taylor...she could beat elliot, unless idol does a disco, hip hop, and motown weeks...and katherine can definitely beat ace

It was way beyond that. The results themselves can be dealt with in 10 minutes, but we painfully know the role advertising plays. The powers-that-be at the Skunk Network have little choice but to overdose the public with an orgy of commercials to pay for the outlandish salaries of the regulars.

also, when the heck is this show going to have a BLUE state idol

alabama, texas, mississippi, and oklahoma have all been represented and it would be a real kicker to have katherine, who lives just outside of hollywood, to win the competition...her schoolmates, co-workers, friends, and relatives are within 20 minutes of the american idol studio so no matter how she sings, she will have rabid live audience applause

i wish some magic fairy could replace katherine's lawrence welk singer demeanor with a little taylor or chris

Okay, I do think I deserve a moment of gloating. I got two of the bottom three and nailed the elimination! Yippee! Bucky's finally history!

I had really hoped Ace would be gone last night, personally. I can stand Bucky better than I can him. Grrr.... One more week of watching him do those stupid cheesy expressions and body movements he does and, oh, that falsetto just needs to go away!! If he were to win I think this would make it my first and last season of Idol-watching....

Why in the world was elliott in the bottom three rather than kellie frickin no talent pickler?

e

here's my theory

kelly is a 6 out of 10 and her performance on the queen song was a solid "7" so she improved and it was better than expected from her mediocre talent

elliott is a 9 out of 10, and one of the best ever, and his performance was an "8", so less than expected...elliott is the only singer who always hits the tricky notes...well, katherine does but she plays it safe too much ;)

anyway, kelly will go before elliott
