They're both a bit big, aren't they?

...but it IS harder to use now, isn't it?

Yes this is true, but it's offset by the improved ease of use that a bigger screen brings - I find browsing, email etc much easier with the larger screen (I have 6+). I find the keyboard a great deal better now its not so cramped. Its a worthwhile compromise in my opinion.

No denying it. Going to give the 6 two weeks before returning it.

I think Apple just opened their market for iPhone minis -- I just hope they don't dumb them down.

They are definitely "wow that's big" at first.. but I bet you in a month if you pick up your old iPhone it will look like a silly toy that you could never go back to. ;) :)

Right now, yes, I'd say it's big. But ask me in a week after I've gotten more used to it? Probably not.

Actually I find myself using my 6 more due to the larger screen. It's easier to use due to the rounded edges and increased thinness. I didn't use my 5 all that much due to the smallish screen, just found myself reaching for my iPad or just using my iMac.

For people with just 1 internet connected device the 6+ is ideal for them. Yes, there are people who don't even own a computer and their only device to access the internet is their tiny phones. Albeit now increased sized tiny phones.

Agreed on the keyboard. SO much better for me. My hands were always so cramped on previous iPhones.

I have to say no as well. My 6 is perfect for my hand. It's the perfect size phone. I tried both at the AT&T store and the Plus was definitely to big.

This one is perfect. I seriously love this phone. It's my favorite of all of them by a large margin!!

Coworker got his 4.7" delivered to work yesterday and it fits my hand just nice (vs my 5 which is fairly small).

That said, I am worried that I ordered the 5.5" model because it might be too big.

Ordered a 6+ too and it's set to be delivered Monday. Gonna give it a go to see for sure, but my wife got hers yesterday and I'm pretty skeptical that its going to work out for me. Trying to adjust the way I hold the thing, but I'm having a hard time finding a way of holding it one handed that makes it feel secure in my hand.

Luckily the stock of 4.7" models seems to be pretty flush, so going from 6+ -> 6 shouldn't be much of a problem.

No doubt that my 6+ is too big for one handed use without a case (for me). I'm 5'11" with smallish hands, but I have no intention of going back to a smaller phone. For me, I love this size. With the apple leather case i do find that I can manage one handed. Lots of my coworkers have been using Galaxy note sized phones, and they truly love them in their day to day usage. I'm glad that we have a choice of sizes in iOS.

And, as an honest person giving an honest answer, the iPhone 4 and 5 are too small, not for one handed use, obviously, but that screen size is too small for what I want to do. For others, just right; for me, too small.

I got the 6 and am considering returning it for the 5s. I loved the size of my 5.

I can't really use the 6 one-handed even with the case off. The double-tap thing is a road to thumb tendinitis.

Anyone else hate the curved edges? They feel like the 3G and that phone always felt like a slippery bar of soap.

It's the first Apple product I've been disappointed in.

I have the 6 and I have to say it's a little big for me, but definitely manageable. For reference I'm 5'9 with medium-ish hands. I noticed it the most this morning when I half-asleep opened the phone and started to check Facebook and my email. I'm so used to easily one-handing the device which makes it easy in the morning when I'm out of it, but this morning I spent more time fumbling with the device trying to get it into the right position. It's most likely an acclimation problem but it's definitely something I've experienced.

I don't have giant hands by any stretch but I don't think the iP6 is to big. It is definitely an adjustment but I can tell you that typing an e-mail or texting is much easier for me on this phone. It feels better in my hands and the zoom option really makes the content on my phone come to life. I'm really enjoying the larger size and I was very much against a larger phone until I got this one.

You can please all of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. Inevitably there will be those who dislike the larger display but I think the majority will embrace the bigger screen and adjust in a few days. I came from an iPhone 4, no complaints from me!

I'm another person who is enjoying the 6 for the features etc., but do find it somewhat difficult to hold. I have smallish hands (just over 6" from wrist to tip of middle finger), so that's the issue.

Do those people with only one internet device really have a brand new iPhone? Hmmm, I certainly haven't met anyone that falls into that category.

I bought the 6. Coming from an LG G2 (which I will go back to occasionally), physically this is as big a phone as I'm willing to put in my pocket. The iPhone 6 is slightly better to hold because it's just a bit more narrow than the LG, but the LG has a 5.2" screen.

IMO, the two most impressive designs are the LG G3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. The G3 with a 5.5" screen is much smaller than the iPhone 6+. The Sony Z3C has a 4.6" screen and it's basically the same physical size as the 5/5s, and has a much larger battery than even the 6.

Screen sizes around 4.7 to 5 inches is just about perfect, depending on how big the phone is. If I had to pick one, the Z3C is the winner, big(ish) screen in a very compact form factor. I will likely buy one when Sony releases it.

I have to honestly say no, and I have a 6 plus. My biggest fear in preordering was that the plus would be too unwieldy. But I have to say my biggest surprise so far has been how "unbig" the phone feels so far. I probably have bigger than average hands but not huge, I wear size large gloves. And I have to say I can do everything with this phone one-handed that I could do with the 5S without using reach ability or making any other allowances. I will say that the one thing I do it that instead of holding it in my palm as I would earlier iPhones i have this resting more on my fingers and that gives my thumb more room to operate, but it's quite comfortable and I really think the thinness of the device is what makes it that way, I'm not sure if it will be the same after adding the bulk of a case, we'll see.

Felt that exact way when I was using my 6+ without a case while setting up my phone yesterday...felt MUCH smaller than the size indicated...mainly due to the thinness of the device.

The moment I put my case on it (and I bought one of the more minimalistic cases mind you) it felt HUGE! Almost tempted to go without the case because with it on it truly makes the device bulky, heavy.

Having said this, now when I go back to my iPhone 5, the old phone NEVER LOOKED SO SMALL in my life! Feels like I'm typing on an apple watch....

I love my 6 plus but yes, it is harder to get used to initially. I am very happy with my choice but I can admit there have been moments where I've thought "i feel like I'm juggling this thing a bit." I just changed the way I lay out my home screen and I think things are coming along now. I have phone, messages and 2 folders in my dock with my other most used apps. The rest are in folders and I moved them all to page 2. So page 1 is all wallpaper.

I had to chuckle watching my wife struggling to reach the back button on Facebook on her new 6 (4.7")

I think 4.7" might be the sweet spot, right now I find my 6 to be slightly difficult to manage with one hand.If Apple can figure out a way to remove the bezel on the sides and make the top/bottom bezel at a minimum they would be on to something with the 4.7" screen!!:apple:

Absolutely love the rounded edges. Haven't had one this comfortable in my hand since the 3 series. This one is even better. It's perfect in my hand and no way would I put a case on this baby!! By far, the best iPhone I've ever used.

I have only spent one day with my 6 Plus and there is no way I could go back to my 5s. It makes my 5s feel like a toy size wise, I know that the 5.5" model isn't for everyone but to me the 4.7" is just about perfect size wise for those who don't want a phablet.

Everyone is different though but physically the 6 just isn't all that much bigger than the 5s. That's my honest answer as an honest person...

It's something that will take getting used to. But the times are changing and the bigger screens are what the majority of people want.
