iB.S.

People's fingers are various sizes - not sure how they'd pull off a comfortable iRing that would accommodate this.

Nothing about the combination of all these (iRing, 2nd Screen, TV) sound like a clean, simple way to watch TV. And the price point for a screen + mini screen wouldn't be as cheap as 1500. I imagine the TV alone wouldn't even be 1500.

Very little of this rumor talks about the white elephant in the room - CONTENT. How many of us really care about bells and whistles of the hardware at this point? How content is delivered is far more important.

In four hours from now... "Samsung introducing S-Ring enhanced motion control for their upcoming 60" sTV" :p

Don't you know Samsung already had this product out in 1987... so Apple is just copying them.

BTW... iRing? I don't think so. Seems jester control is far enough along to negate the use of some electronic assistant.

I wonder how he figures that some service providers will subsidize a TV. Apple usually provides great service themselves and creates strong incentives not to subsidize their products. That's why the prices of Apple computers are so similar in different stores.

What about the iPhone? That is subsidised by the phone companies.

A bit too close to April 1st for my liking...

An iPad (or "iPad-like device") is perfect for viewing an EPG while browsing for content - far better than the built-in EPGs which are slow to load, sluggish to navigate and block the screen for everyone while browsing.

The iRing sounds more dubious. If you wanted far-out theories, then if Apple made a TV which allowed different people to view different content on the same TV (as is currently becoming possible), then each having an iWatch as a remote control would make sense; and you could plug headphones into the watch for sound. But an iRing? That sounds even less plausible to me.

I don't know this doesn't seem too far fetched. Apple has two choices for motion controls.. the Motion Controlled Ring or Kinect. And Apple can't expect everyone who buys iTV to own an iPhone/iPad as a second screen. The price seems reasonable (My LED Samsung TV cost about the same and I got less)

Why would you buy a 60inch TV just to watch it on a 9.7-inch screen? It makes much more sense if it's just compatible with iPads, and it does not have to be included in the package.

And yeah, I don't think it will be called 'iTV'... it just sounds noobish and unmarketable.

iring is the iwatch.

The iTV rumor you all know and love except with a twist this time! Weeeeeeeeeee!

Not sure I buy the motion controlled aspect, but using the tablet to navigate seems plausible. I recently bought a Wii U, and using the gamepad to aid in navigation with the second screen is a pretty solid system. So far watching Netflix on the Wii U is my favorite Netflix UI I've used.

There is a reason devices like the iPad, iPad mini, and iPod touch don't come with accessories like a stylus... Apple knows accessories suck and the user experience is ultimately better without them! This will never happen!
