Samsung ES8000 Motion Control

Because Samsung doesn't already have this technology on the market

yeah I know this TV and have seen it in action. Nothing special just a kinect style. Apple will do something to make it enjoyable to use not tedious. Then Samsung will observe closely as usual and as their documents say "Make it more like Apple" lol. Then they will release their sTV with S-Ring! All the Samsung crowd will wet their pants and claim it is so much better than the iTV when essentially it is the exact same thing just in plastic instead of aluminium :p

edit: same situation with the smart watch judging by history too :p

This sounds incredibly far-fetched.....

I expect 2013 brings:

-newly redesigned iOS7
-iPhone 5S (personally I think it will simply be called "iPhone" as they will move to an iPad like naming convention with the budget iPhone coming out and a larger one on the way)
-cheap iPhone
-iWatch
-iPad (5th gen) with mini design
-iPad mini with retina
-MBA with Haswell (possibly retina)
-Mac Pro

I think this is plenty for Apple to have a great year. The iTV will happen when channels can be purchased "a la carte".....as far as I know - cable companies are no where near letting that happen.....

If Apple produced a 60" TV, at 4k resolution, with a beautiful interface and iDevice integration and a full suite of content providers... for $2500... they would sell tens of millions of them...

You're funny. When it's pointed out that Samsung already has the device - you still try to assert that Samsung will be copying Apple. Keep living that dream.

Not sure if true, but if it is I really hope they announce something soon. This could be a game changer!! :apple: I sure as hell won't buy another TV =until Apple gives us some hard news.

Available on last year's Samsung TVs

Beyond the basic television set, White claims that Apple will be releasing auxiliary screens similar to iPads, with the devices allowing users to watch their television content on wireless devices within range of the larger television.White claims that the basic iTV package would include one such mini iTV, with customers able to add on additional screens up to a maximum of four.

In four hours from now... "Samsung introducing S-Ring enhanced motion control for their upcoming 60" sTV" :p

Samsung already had the "auxiliary screen" feature on last year's models. See http://www.samsung.com/us/2012-allshare-play/

Been speculating about ring for sometime. I take this rumor to be very serious and real. Its the missing link for iTv control.

Think thumbscrolling, and clicking. And of course fingerprint authentication. Solved.

Don't waste your time

Looks like everybody has their arguments ready to go. I can't wait for the products to be released, so we can see them in action! :D

There is a reason devices like the iPad, iPad mini, and iPod touch don't come with accessories like a stylus... Apple knows accessories suck and the user experience is ultimately better without them! This will never happen!

Accesories needed for general use maybe, but a Wacom like pen with true pressure sensitivity would be awesome and open up the ipad to some great new possibilites.

I will eat my hat if Apple releases something they won't be able to sell at their retail stores, which don't typically have the warehouse room to fit more than 1 or 2 60" TV's at a time.

Well this does it... with the iRing, I can be the lord of the rings in my own livingroom.

I'm in! Forget Glass - I want an iRing!

Now the rumor has given Samsung plenty of time to copy everything and launch all the stuff first.
