New MBA is more than welcome. I will buy dozens for work again and one for myself.

$1200-$1400 is OK for 11,6" with 2,2GHz dual core with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD. I'd also be fine with (even slightly) upgraded 13,3" if it had 4GB RAM.

11.6 inch screen? If its got a 1280x800 resolution and cost $800, i would buy it

Same price as the white macbook will also do the the trick very well. 11.6 is a good size, all the new air need is to not be underpowered, like the vaio x, right size at 11,6, but atom...

My wish list for a new MBA:

-- Built in 3G with the same contract free model as the iPad. There are many times I would pay $15 for 250MB.

-- Hybrid SSD/HD setup similar to the new Samsung drive or cheaper SSD upgrade pricing.

-- Improved battery.

-- 4GB standard with a higher end model available.

iPod Touch with front cam announced at the event. 1GHz clockspeed A4, 512 RAM, as currently publicized. Current iPod school promotion will continue to the 9th, but the new iPod will not be eligible. Release on the 7th or 9th of September, most likely the 7th. More info to come if I can get it.

And no, this is not trolling. Please don't post this anywhere as I would like my account to remain anonymous, aside from this forum.

What about the macbook air becoming like an iPad "pro" ?

The "iPad pro" will have:

  • built in SD card slot
  • Front facing camera
  • ichat for iOS devices
  • 11.3" LED IPS screen
  • 128GB of SSD space.
those are just some of the features

That "little" screen is way bigger than the current Shuffle.

Then the shuffle will get a hardware refresh. Its about time anyway. Same design for two years.

Seems like you are. Besides can you really trust the kids on here?

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!

you also forgot the ability to run flash due to it being a meld between OSX and iOS...

Man if they made the nano touch screen that'd just add to the disappointment of the possibility of the Classic getting killed this year. tactile feedback is far more valuable on the go than a touch screen is.

For instance as it stands now I use my iPods at work and I can just reach down and press a button without having to look at the screen, if they were to touch screen the nano, what would my options be other than another competitor?

The days of 15-17" monitor desktop systems are over...and have been for a year or 2 now. Although I do not own the iMac (I have the Mini), I love how it's 21" and larger...too bad it's too expensive of a system. Without getting into the PC vs. Mac argument (which is really about the OS anyway...not the hardware), you can buy a $650 PC with a 21"+ monitor from numerous vendors...I can't justify $1200 on an iMac for the same/very similar specs as a $650-$700 PC.

The day Apple decides to KEEP THE SPECS and LOWER THE PRICE of the bare $1199 iMac to $999 is the day I walk in and buy.

Apples to Oranges. Compare the iMac to PC All-in-ones and you will see that it is in fact quite a decent value, especially the 27" version.

There is nothing on the iPod Classic. People think it is not going to change or it is going to be discontinued.

I think besides all of the hype and expectations of the iPod Touch, the iPod Classic will have a major change. I'm going to bet on it and be the Man of the Year!

Absolutely not. I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but I as much as I hate saying it, I told you so. Also, the Apple TV won't see a release on the 7th. Sorry.
