Analyst Predicts No Siri on iPhone 5C, Fingerprint Scanner Solely for Device Unlocking on iPhone 5S

Well, if this is true it's further proof that Cook doesn't have a damn clue about how Apple has achieved its success in the last 10 years. Facts:

- The company should strive for the best, not the cheapest;

- "Emerging markets" are gigantic by definition and actually richer than most "industrialized markets" nowadays, at least in absolute terms. There is absolutely NO NEED for Apple to cater to the bottom of the barrel - by doing so, Apple is just cutting further on its margins, just like what happens with the iPad mini.

Yeah! It's not like Apple released an iPod with less features to hit lower price points under Jobs!
 
Someone got to make a plastic case to protect phone. Don't charge me and arm and leg for it. :-(
 
To end this discussion: Siri is horrible. At least with my southern country accent. She can't get anything right? On the other hand Google gets it right everytime. Yet, I still carry around my iPhone and iPad everywhere I go. Why? Because of 1 game. Clash of Clans!!!!!

I don't want a fingerprint sensor on my phone.
so a "lack" of it would be great for me. +1 for 5c.

-10 for plastic though.
 
Please we don't any cheaper iphone, if Apple do such step, will indeed lost a precious loyals clients.
The quality hasn't the price.

Yep...same processor and main parts but the sub parts will be cheaper materials (case, buttons, etc).

Just funny people want the best but way cheaper.

And I don't believe for a second it won't have Siri. If it's on the 4s and 5, then she'll be on the 5c.

The iPad mini seemed to be a success and hit the demographic that wasn't willing to pay 500 - 600 for a tablet. Even many people that were willing to pay for an iPad but bought iPad mini would by 2 minis.
 
And more news for today: Apple will be rolling out millions of iPhone 4 phones with plastic cases on them! Selling like cold-cakes!

Except if the leaked cases are real, then it's safe to assume it won't be non-retina because that would mean a new screen developers would have to support.

I have a question (to anyone) related to support for screen resolutions -> do new apps have to support non-retina (e.g. 3GS) screens??
 
I would happily pay less for an iPhone without Siri. Or maybe could I just get a refund on mine and delete it?
 
Look Macrumors - how's about this for a deal.
If the iPhone 5C ships with Siri, lets never hear from this guy again eh?

My analytical interpretation is the rationale of the 5C is to get a great apple product into a cheaper market - so hobbling it would make it less than great.

Sorry, but "FEWER features" is WAY different than cheapo to attain other markets. You can still be the best in your segment, just like the iPod Shuffle is - this is definitely NOT the case with the rumored iPhone 5 Crap.

And what makes you think that Apple will do any different with the iPhone? With an A6 processor and retina display running the latest version of iOS, I would see it as significantly better than the competition at that price point. If you prefer iOS, of course.
