Well, they better improve the BT connectivity of the Watch 3 because my Watch 2 drops signal to my iPhone and my Jaybird BT headphones pretty regularly.

SIM in watch? Doesn't make sense as Apple hates SIM cards and has been trying to get rid of them for years.
I'm not that up on the SIM tech but I'm wondering if the SIM details can be read from the phone's SIM and given to the watch to allow mirroring ?
If the watch is out of range of the Phone then the Watch becomes primary and phone goes into standby (like airplane mode).
Complete freedom from the Phone is something I think the market is ready for.
Go for a run, or forgot your iPhone and left it in the car? Missed calls? Messages etc? Not anymore.
It would probably be just like the Apple sim in todays iPads.

I am really worried about the health-related consequences of these kind of elektromagnetic waves.

I would be much more concerned by electromagnetic radiation given off by a candle. The visible light photons emitted by a candle or a lightbulb have about 100,000 times the energy of the radio wave range photons emitted by the cellphone. See Einstein's photoelectric effect.

There is no point to adding this, not to mention its impractical and costly.

Apple needs to improve the heartrate monitor, add an altimeter while increasing battery life by 2-3 hours.

Why the AW2 doesn't include an altimeter is very perplexing.

The 9.7" iPad Pro has a software SIM. The watch would also have this. It might not be compatible with all carriers, but it would be compatible with enough that some users might actually switch to get a package deal for this plus the phone. Since the watch is ONLY compatible with iPhone users now, even opening it up to a elect group of carriers outside of the Apple ecosystem would be a significant number of new customers, and a nice halo product to draw them into the Apple ecosystem.

No thanks. AW2 is perfect blend for me. The GPS receiver allowing runs/biking to be tracked but I can do so out of range and out of contact from work. Just don't want to be connected when I'm exercising. Finally got to ditch my phone and still use Nike+. Don't want it back!

Well hopefully when you're out running or biking in a remote area, you aren't a hit and run victim. A cellular capable watch would come in handy then, no?

For what purpose? I see no point in adding it.
If they can get cellular in there and keep a full day battery life with limited data use and half an hour of talk time then I could pretty much give up on my phone and go with the watch and an iPad. The iPad has a usable interface, and the watch/airpods are nice and portable. I'm not someone who uses my phone all day, so I don't need those radios on very much during the day.

For what reason would you want internet connectivity when doing active water sports?!!

Let's say I'm waiting for an important phone call, or an e-mail or text, but otherwise I'm free during the day. So instead of sitting by the phone all day, I can go out and have a nice surf session while the waves are in peak form. If the information I was waiting on comes in, then I'm notified, can paddle in and attend to business. Or I can swim laps while waiting, and thus don't have to miss a workout. This is the single most important thing about the iPhone too, yet I can't take the iPhone everywhere. I can take the watch.

For those of us who get it, it is a god-send. For those who don't, turn it off, or buy the non-cellular model. Simple.
