Psssttt!! 1500$ here and they will slow it down in a year. Never expected Apple to do this. And apparently, they say they will continue to do this. They have become way too arrogant and believe they can do anything. Hope Jobs is listening!!
I was planning to buy the iPhone 7 last year, and made the decision to wait another year. That was before the price of the iPhone X was known, so Apple's pricing didn't really factor in. See, Apple, that's what you get by letting me get another year older. I'm not as keen to always have the latest gear as I was when I was younger. I got the iPhone X, but I may wait another three years before upgrading again. If you don't want me to wait, you'll find a way to keep me from aging.I can only speak for myself, I was planning on buying the new iPhone but the high price made me keep my 6S for another year. At the same time I realised that it is waste of money to buy a new phone every two years so I plan to keep my future phones for at least three years from now on. So there you go Apple, thats what you get with your high prices. But I am sure there are still enough people out there who will buy it even at these prices.
I have and honestly was not impressed in the slightest.
You're right, it is expensive. And I think that's why Apple offered the iPhone 8 under the iPhone X. They realize iPhone X is not for everyone given the price point and as good as the iPhone X is, the iPhone 8 is still a secondary option for consumers that want a similar form factor and touch ID.
You can’t compare the Note with a stylus and 6.3 inch display to an iPhone X.
Getting old, you say? Then you should stop posting 1400 messages since oct 2016 and get on with your life. This stupid forum will carry on without you, fear not. I shall sacrifice mine own sanity and increase my waffle in your stead.Or, you know, the fact Apple ramped up production to meet holiday demand for once.
The price is high but this narrative of too high is getting old.
Bring on the iPhone X Plus
Everything he said is in the past.X is a great phone, but as Steve said in the past, there’s a limit that you can’t pass.
Actually I can because at the end of the day a phone is a phone. You same folks who are cryin about the “Era of the thousand dollar” phone being a flop yet the Note 8 gets a hall pass from that?
Even if Apple had a 6.3 phone with a pencil folks would still be upset with the price tag because for some reason any time Apple releases something with a high price point there is a sense of entitlement of how they should be beholden to the people and make things cheaper.
That’s not it. No one is paying $1000 to send Animoji all day long. Plus the note has much more features than the IPhone X. The problem with the note is it runs Android. So I wouldn’t buy that either.
I know, right! Now try the camera on the Pixel 2.
People will still complain about the price for that saying they were priced out and that it should be cheaper.
Don’t misunderstand me I not wealthy or anywhere close but I don’t mind not having coffee every day and going out to dinner twice a week if it means I can pay for my gadgets.
I don’t have kids or spouse so pretty much I can dispose my income on tech and not really have to justify it to anyone.

This is what ppl see on tv. If you had an iPhone that was working fine. Would you trade it in? And buy a $1000 phone to do this? Probably not. And it’s not cause ppl cannot afford it. It’s cause they won’t shell out money for this and Face ID.
So color me confused but the Note is still in the 950 and 960 price range which with the 10 percent sales tax where I live pushes it to over 1000.00.
Yet the iPhone X which has all types of new camera sensors etc is priced too high? The only new change for the Note were the dual cameras which the iPhone 7 Plus already had.
I just see a bit of bias that’s all.

You will be passing on many of the future iterations. With Apple there is no bringing back old features.
Touch ID is dead.
No incentive for you, maybe.
For me, upgrading from the iPhone 6+, I really appreciate the camera improvements, Face Id, 3D Touch, Live Photos, the OLED display, and the speed increases.
The iPhone X runs the "same" iOS as my three-year-old iPhone 6+, but it really feels like a new phone to me. As I said, that's just me. You may not need or want any of the new features, so your old phone is good enough. But not good enough for me.
What are you saying? That his statement was invalid? Pfft.Everything he said is in the past.
