Just a few palm devices. Ones that noone buys or cares about.
I knew Verizon wouldn't give anything for free.

i heard verizon will charge u an extra $20 a month to use hotspot tethering

so mywi is still useful

Yes, on stock iOS they will charge your account to activate the tethering feature with all options including wifi hotspot.
On a JB iphone you could enable that feature with a cydia hack without paying Verizon or AT&T $20 extra per month.

You just gotta SSH in and probably replace some files.
Not sure where exactly they're located on 4.+ firmware but post a thread and maybe others that have done it can help out

Well first things first,

has anyone tested the throughput of the personal hotspot vs mywi? the option to increase the signal in mywi is key or percevably key, is there a lock on the personal hotspot option to limit the throughput of the signal?

secondly, all you AT&T and Verizon and Americans out there... not only is your infrastructure of your mobile technology horrible, but its outlandishly expencive. Canadians offer the Iphone on every network, and the survace is rediculously fast AND FREE. Tethering is FREE as it should be, and ITS FAST!

I went to the states and tried to use google maps on AT&T and almost **** my pants on how bad and slow it was, its night and day between Canada and the USA... It's borderline useless in the states...

Look how much you're paying in Canada first for you plans and data and then look how much US pays?
Look at the geographic size of the US and look at the areas Canadian carriers have to cover. Either way, who cares?
