The entire idea is ripped off from Huawei though, https://www.huaweicentral.com/apple-stolen-dynamic-island-feature-from-huawei/Even ripped off the name to some degree.
Apple does it better, but it is NOT an Apple original idea!

Of course the DI will go away once Apple comes up with something better. Thats how tech works.Agreed. I was thinking the other day, with the amount of people who have notification banners turned off... Dynamic Island will probably be turned off on those phones as well, if allowable. Like many have said, this was just a stop-gap because they cannot find a way to put the sensors under the screen yet. This island will flood and disappear just like the Touch Bar. (I kind of liked the Touch Bar.)
As I have replied to others, this is not an Apple original idea. It was Huawei first https://www.huaweicentral.com/apple-stolen-dynamic-island-feature-from-huawei/For once, Android is copying Apple....who'd have thought.
Maybe it was “crowd sourced.”It doesn't look half bad, but if there was one place they could have really improved--it would have been the name. Dynamic Spot is even worse than Dynamic Island! They must have the same marketing consultants as Apple.
Took them 2 weeks to copy this feature while apple acts like its been in development for ages and makes it exclusive to only pro models.
really didn't apple copy Android phone makers is bigger phones? even after Jobs made fun of bigger phones and saying the iPhone 4 was the perfect size? then to be honest apple again copied and followed Android tablets in creating mini tablets? then they copied copy and paste as well.Apple cant sue for this. Patents are useless in America. They're just a safety measure. Look at how iPhoneys got away with stealing iPhone design, interface and software. Same with the knockoff iPads and these arent small companies making knockoffs anymore. It used to be a small company in China now its Google, Amazon and Samsung.
My understanding is that application and others like it work by turning off the actual dock and putting something else over it. That’s not bad, and I’m happy that we have options like that on the Mac, but it’s not as nice as actually removing that part of the operating system and replacing it with another native solution. You can do that on Linux; I’m not sure about Android. If all the fancy launchers that I see on Android are floating on top of the native UI, I doubt they feel nearly as fluid to use. And if that’s the case, I don’t see why anyone would want to it.Uhh, you can tear the dock out of macOS and put a 3rd party replacement though. It's called uBar https://ubarapp.com/

They'll probably call it Samsung Island.
I never truly understood why people tend to hate any unfamiliar name that gets presented to them. I can't think of any Apple product that has not been laughed at the name when first announced, including the iPhone. And then they become completely normal. Same with iPad. Does name really matter that much in a Universe where Apple can call it a crap and it can still become popular? It doesn't look half bad, but if there was one place they could have really improved--it would have been the name. Dynamic Spot is even worse than Dynamic Island! They must have the same marketing consultants as Apple.
I bought the original AirPods the day they dropped. I was ecstatic. Cordless headphones at the office. There was 2 people (one chick) one guy who made some jokes. We’re friends so it’s all good. But within 6 months, their shameful asses both bought some hahaI never truly understood why people tend to hate any unfamiliar name that gets presented to them. Apple Newton MessagePad....then to be honest apple again copied and followed Android tablets in creating mini tablets?
they realsed the iPad in 2010 and Steve Jobs said it was the perfect size and a smaller tablet was not needed. But only when smaller Android tablets were selling did Apple indtroduce the iPad mini.Apple Newton MessagePad.
Sure and Android was going to be a Blackberry/Moto Q clone until Apple demoed the iPhone.they realsed the iPad in 2010 and Steve Jobs said it was the perfect size and a smaller tablet was not needed. But only when smaller Android tablets were selling did Apple indtroduce the iPad mini.
Same with smaller iPhones....Jobs said the iPhone 4 was the perfect size and people made fun of the bigger Android phones......until they were selling and capturing markets share. Then came the iPhone 6 to copy bigger Android phones.
This is all useless banter....they all copy from each other.
sure and Apple was going to do Always on Display....oh wait Android phones have had that since like 2010.Sure and Android was going to be a Blackberry/Moto Q clone until Apple demoed the iPhone.
It's can't be 10 or 100 developers. I don't see the huge deal, it's a big world with over 7.7 billion people in it.
Actually you fail to realize that everything you wrote above is irrelevant.
But it will be hilarious to see Apple going after a guy making an app in his bedroom 🤣
I'm not going to waste my time doing something like that.
Of course 🤣
I can't assume it when it's clearly obvious
And not just just blind but really petty as well.
LoL sure bud, looks like you completely forgot about the cheap accusation you threw above at the "so many Android user" in general. 🤣
Huawei has some balls accusing Apple of stealing stuff. The entire idea is ripped off from Huawei though, https://www.huaweicentral.com/apple-stolen-dynamic-island-feature-from-huawei/
Apple does it better, but it is NOT an Apple original idea!
I mean it's clear from the start that I wasn't interested in your petty assumptions regarding patents, trials, suing people or anything like that so yeah, most of what you wrote is pointless. Please stop with your basic math and Reddit type answers and come up with something more fruitful and meaningful.
Everything I wrote is irrelevant, to you maybe not the topic so much. Care to back that up with real precedence or a much more intellectual rebuttal?
LoL, you are amusing. Of course I'm not going to waste my time with the irrelevant direction you tried to set for your arguments as you were completely unable to address the actual point I made. You made a cheap accusations in case you forgot. The fact you're not going to waste your time shows your inability to hold a decent debate nor the curiosity to improve your insight into such matters.
Well if telling people they should have the decency of understanding the subject, so basically to read(at least the title because even in the title it clearly says Android app) before making cheap accusations is arrogant, than maybe I am arrogant, and this is just because I care for the truthObviously I'm an Apple Fan but not blind I've heavily considered android before - check 15 or close to that of my most recent posts you should see a significant hint of that again recently. Unlike you I'm not arrogant to seeing another point of view/choice if its been made relevant or intellectually put forth vs typical lazy 1 sentence remarks that are petty.
And the so many Android user in general was accurate. You failed to look up the context of that statement. Just do a search here, or on XDA forums
Nope, the only "significant" number I can find is of people correcting apple fans that can't properly read.I'm sure you'll find a significant numberthis is my observation, do you have an observation of Android users here that love Apple? lol. I'll bet you really do lol.
