That might be the case in the US, The rest of the world by their phone retail and put their own Sim card in it.

The bloatware argument is so 2009. Android has taken significant steps forward, and so did Samsung, LG, other manufacturers who customize the android experience.

iOS seems to be the one loosing it #BatteryGate

You should seriously think and do your research before you babble. It helps

I don’t know about the rest of the world so I’m not going to discuss it.

Bloatware is not 2009. My last Android was bought last year in 2017 new and it came with bloatware.
Apple took a stand from day one and did not alow cell phone carriers to install bloatware, while every Android cell phone has bloatware, unless you bought from a third party, carrier free. And even then it had apps that no one had use for and couldn’t be removed.

Even the free Android phones that you get through a low income Government program, have bloatware.

You are on Apple forum and yet, you are trying way too hard to defend Android.

The definition of bloatware seems to have changed to mean any program I want to install.o_O

And being built on Linux means Android has this from the start.
I thought pae was an Intel adressing concept. Don’t know if other processors have a similar concept.

I don’t think PAE is Intel only, since AMD does it as well. You may be right about it not being an ARM thing, but I assumed it was.

I've been an Apple fan since the 90s, but I'm not blind either, I give credit to other companies, such as Samsung, Google, Microsoft (how are apples sad efforts of replicating office? Or Windows market share, for that matter?)

It's good to keep an open mind, give credit to others when it's due. The whole discussion started with you taking a cheap shot at android users (cheap stakes, to quote you), and though I would never switch from iPhone, I wanted to point out that Android cover the entire range, from a $30 snapdragon 400 processor based Blu, to mid range Motorola G series, to a killer premium phone, such as Galaxy S series, or the Galaxy Note (which was mocked by Apple fans endlessly only for them to praise the oversized Plus, 3 years later)

There is a very simple solution to that problem. Buy a Pixel 2. I have monthly updates on my phone and no issues whatsoever on my Pixel 2XL. On my iPhone 7+ my other daily phone, there are constant bugs and glitches in the iOS with random restarts etc. And where are the updates to fix that? All Apple seem to worry about are emoji...

I've been using Google Pixel phones for two years now and I have not had one software related issue at all. Using Android as Google intended is a pure joy and in my opinion superior to the current version of iOS.
I considered a Pixel 2, but it was $150 more than the iPhone 6s I eventually settled on. A $650 phone is not an economical option for the security conscious. $500 isn't cheap either, but for my purposes it was worth the price of entry.

You do realize 32 bit processors, can support a max of only 4gb of ram, right?

I would suggest you do your due diligence on your above statement. That’s not accurate. PAE processes each one on a 32 Bit processor, which handles 4GB of Ram.

Considering you have no clue what you are talking about, your "point" is refute. Not sure how something can be a copy, yet offer a more functional "replica", and features the "original", don't even posses. Pretty sure if Android was a copy, they would not be able to distribute the OS abroad.

What cave have you crawled out of? The fact that they mimic'd and copied all the features of iOS to Android OS is no secret. A high level executive that was involved with the iOS development took all of his knowledge of the OS with him and joined google.

There were multiple articles about this and if it wasn't for anti-trust laws and complications, I'm sure Apple would of sued one way or another.

They got the whole concept of it from iOS and if it wasn't for iOS, the Android OS wouldn't be what it is today. How does your logic apply to Internet Explorer/Netscape and Firefox, Chrome, and safari?

Having been an iOS user that now uses Android, I gotta say -- it's pretty nice here. Unless I see some big changes in iOS 12, I expect my next phone to be an Android device as well. Android is really terrific, objectively speaking.

Now, my experiences are with STOCK Android -- that is, Android the way that Google intended for it to be. Many of the folks I've seen hating Android unsurprisingly have experiences with Samsung, LG, and the like. Or no experience with Android at all. But I digress. I implore for them to try the Pixel. Go take a look at the Pixel sub on Reddit and you'll find pages of pleasantly surprised iOS users.

(Before the Samsung lovers lynch me -- I think the Note 8 and S9 look amazing, guys! I kind of want one!)
[doublepost=1521203755][/doublepost]I completely agree, I've always had an IOS smart phone since the first one came out and switched to Android last year. One Plus is another great option for nearly stock Android at about half the price of the Pixel and it has a headphone jack.

As someone who’s been using iPhones every day since the 3GS I can say this hits pretty close to home. I even had a good play around with a Galaxy S8 the other day.

Between £1000 phones and crippling my phone with iOS 11 my patience has started to wear thin with Apple. I didn’t really like Android much when I used it but I feel close to giving it a go after all of this.

My Dad In Law just got the new Top Samsung. Played about with it yesterday.
While iOS is smoother and more elegant than Android, latter is not bad AT ALL. The Samsung device is beautiful and unlike the disaster iPhone X - it does not have an ugly bar with Face Recognition Cams hanging in the middle of its beautiful display. The Camera makes iPhone X and 8 Plus look like a camera from 2006.

Apple has to do something radical this year to keep me from moving to Samsung. As a matter of fact Android is the only thing keeping from Samsung. Not Samsung. But iOS 11 has be loosing nerves several times per day and the battery drain is ridiculous. I charge at least once per day. My dad in law once every 4 days. And he uses his phone a lot.

I feel that's rather unfair. The iPhone X and GS9 have two very comparable and excellent cameras, I would be happy with either. I agree with you on the notch, they could just have kept a border across the top and it would have looked a lot nicer in my opinion.

Tonight I just replaced the battery in my 6S after an Apple reseller refused to do it as my phone was bent and damaged - it's not bent or damaged. It has a few minor scratches at the corners. Anyway they lost my business for life, rather rude and dismissive as well.
The battery replacement has transformed my 6S, it feels brand new. I think I'll be keeping my 6S until late 2019 now. Those pull tabs were a nightmare to remove though.
