I completely switched from Android to the Plus. So far so good. Have to sell my GS4 and GN3 next week.

The size is perfect and the screen is beyond gorgeous.

Interesting. My local BB did not get their demo of the Plus. This weekend I will go to an Apple store and take a look see.

I sold my Note 3 for the S5 about three months ago. Now I do not have either. I have other android flagships but Samsung is now not in the mix.

I'll have better impressions tomorrow. Have been playing with this phone all day. Battery is solid.

If things do not look funky on the Plus, I may cave. I have 45 days for exchange as I am a Rewards Zone member who has spent plenty.

Some of the apps are iffy right now. Whatsapp, all the Google apps, etc don't look right so far. The Google Search App doesn't work at all.

I wonder if the devs will push updates this weekend

I own both a G3 and an iPhone 5s. I don't plan on switching to either as a proprietary device. However I will be waiting for 6s.

This... I've had the G3 for a bit and it's hands down the most complete android phone I've ever had considering the screen, battery, and camera are all fantastic. The 6+ is the only iphone I would consider, since I like a larger screen phone, but I think I will wait until late Winter if so.

I switched from the HTC One M8 to the iPhone 6 and I'm not sure how I feel. I've found a number of bugs in iOS 8 and the operating still feels somewhat inferior to me. Almost like it was made for children. The fact that most of the apps look terrible and blurry on this new device doesn't help much but I'm going to give it a real shot. The camera on this thing if fantastic though!

I can’t comment on the new iPhone 6 but I can relate to iOS. I had got a 5s on launch day after coming from a Note 2 and I was really impressed with the hardware and didn’t mind that it had a much smaller screen. But after a few days the honeymoon was over and I just did not like iOS after being with Android since 2009. The majority of you long time iOS users will not understand but I bet long time Android users will. My Android withdrawal was so great I traded my 5s for a Note 3. The more time you spend with Android the more negatives you will notice with iOS. If you flipped flopped between Android and iOS it’s not as apparent.
That being said I will still check out both iPhones in a few hours after work just because I love tech and I like to keep my options open. Plus with all the apps not optimized for the 5.5” screen I would be wasting my time convincing myself to jump back to iOS. But if I find a good deal on a Note 4 with Gear VR I’m staying with Android. No rush for me.

What I absolutely dislike about the 6 is there are no pictures or pretty lettering next to each email! They have in on the Plus but omitted it on the 6....

What are you talkin about starfyre? Please elaborate. I don't see these pics next to emails on my plus.

Spot on. I have a note 3 and will upgrade to the note 4. For me the increased effort to add music and videos through iTunes pretty much males up my mind. I have a mac book air and Imac but when it comes to a mobile device I prefer the android platform and it's customization.

I am a current Android user who started out on the first IPhone and stuck with them until the IPhone 4. The larger screens that were becoming available then on Android phones were more usable for me and I have used a few different Androids up until my current which is the LG G3.

Of course I have always said if Apple makes a bigger IPhone I would go back and I have a 6+ on order and intend to go later today to check out the 6+ demo models at the store.

The big issue for me is display quality, and after using the QHD display on the G3
it may be hard for me to use anything else. Just going to go have to see for myself.

Believe me, they are all pushing. I uploaded an app recently, it took Apple 11 days to even look at it, and now it's been stuck in "In Review" status for 4 additional days. The whole process usually only takes 7-8 days.

I know some people here at work. They hated their gigantic Androids and said they have been waiting for Apple to do this.

They saw me playing with my iPhone 6 Plus during break time.

I doubt I count. I only had a galaxy for four months. I'm just happy to be back. I doubt I'll ever try android again.

I've been on an S3 for the last two years. Got my 64GB Verizon 6+ today. First impressions, it feels really heavy to me compared to the S3 (48g heavier on my scale w/ case.) Hopefully I can get used to the weight. Feels much faster and I'm loving web browsing on this big screen but the slow ios scrolling bugs me a bit. The 6+ is the first smartphone that I can type really fast on too. The touch id is cool for unlocking the phone quickly/easily. I was worried about losing the back button but the swipe gesture works well (it just doesn't work in every app.) No notification LED is a bummer and I don't like hitting the home button to get back to the home screen.

I find it annoying that I can't type fast either on the android for some reason without it stuttering.

I'm switching from the HTC One M8 to a 6 Plus. However, I'm biased and won't provide a true Android-only opinion.

I've had every iPhone up until the 5S. I've also owned 3 different Android devices in between there as well - HTC Inspire 4G, HTC One M7, and HTC One M8.

I initially sold my 5 and went to the M8 for the larger screen. I love larger screens and that was the sole reason I switched. For the 3rd time, I'm going back to the iPhone. I'd guess this will be the last time I test the waters with Android. I kept giving Android the benefit of the doubt but there are too many little things I simply don't like. I like the customization, yet, after experiencing bugs a couple small bugs or things that just weren't as fluid and simple, I want iOS back... badly.

I've had the M8 for over 6 months now (since launch) and I'm dying to go back to iOS. I have an iPad Air (which I absolutely love) and an Apple TV. Having a whole ecosystem with Apple is simple. It makes my life easier (AirPlay, for example) and provides a smoothness with transitioning between devices - whether it be the huge benefit of iMessage (and the ease of being able to text from my iPad easily), to seemless backups, and overall (IMO) higher quality apps.

Again, I like Android a lot, it can do everything that iOS can do... and more. Yet, finding solutions to certain scenarios could take 4-5 steps to complete, whereas on iOS it would take 1 or 2 steps.

that was my biggest dig on android 4-5 steps to do something where its 1-2 with apple. call me petty but the ecosystem and easy functionality keep me with iOS. this might be a phone i keep for 2 years and don't upgrade to the s model. all i wanted was a bigger screen and I'm happy

I'm a back and forth'er. I've been on mac rumors since 2007. I've had every iPhone, and tons of androids. I'm not a loyalist to either. Though I had the 5 for only a few days, I did NOT like (I HATED) the squared edges. I'm a very tactile person and I hated holding it, and I wanted a bigger screen. I said I'd return if Apple finally progressed to a bigger screen. Here I am. While I don't like Phablets, I just wanted that middle ground. Switching from a Moto X with the same size screen as the 6.

Love the 6 so far. Perfect size for my little girl hands without being iPhone tiny or Note giant. Loving the fingerprint login and the iOS experience.

Small things are annoying me. The font on the iOS app for Facebook is too big and it doesn't look crisp even though it's been updated for 6. Also I've adjusted the font size to be smaller, but facebook doesn't follow the adjustable iOS font size setting.

Thank goodness swiftkey is now on iOS, but can I get it to stick? randomly it's set to the default keyboard and I have to switch back.

Got gmail and google maps immediately installed. Not using apple mail or maps, no way, no how.

Trying to figure out a good way to transfer photos from my android to phone. In fact, since I'm such a switcher, I need to figure out a way to keep things synced. Everything is on dropbox or backed up but I've got a lot going on and need to get a singular way to get it all together. I'm sure I'll go back to android at some point.

I have been using assistive touch since the iPhone 5 to go to home screen and am addicted to it. It is one of the first things enable when I get a new iPhone now ;)

I removed the default keyboard have not had any issues since installing swiftkey. You might try that ;)

honestly, any kink/little bugs you guys are experienced, tons will be squashed in one month , bunch of apps will be updated , etc Apple is going to roll out quick updates really soon they already had 8.0.1 in testing already.

I think Android users will be in for a really good treat with the 6

one huge thing I am excited about is apps that open a browser in the app itself and not in Safari, they will now have the same exact speed as Safari itself, Apple is extending its updated Nitro Javascript engine to all apps now, so when a app opens up a browser in the app itself, it loads just as fast as it would on Safari that will be alot faster now, im excited for that+Apple A8 speed, apps are going to get a nice speed boost

display quality on the 6/6 plus is ridiculously good, full sRGB range, the viewing angles, there basically isn't any viewing angles with this screen, it really doesnt distort when you look at it from any angle only ever so slightly(15% the most) at absurd viewing angles, dual domain pixel technology is a big deal,

Cool. It didn't even cross my mind that Apple would let me remove the default keyboard. Love it.

I'm coming along with the help of my wife and two kids. Not having a back button on some apps or a button to close an app takes some getting used to.

I'm a lurker, never had an iphone but more than a few droids, phones & tablets. Have had iPad retina and iPad mini with no retina. Also had a 2011 MBP optioned out and as much as I try the apple ecosystem just doesn't do it for me, osx and ios.

Got some friends and co-workers that are going to get some variations of the 6's. Excited to hear their reviews of the cameras. I mean, it still runs ios so how much different can the user experience be? Little confused on the widgets, are they just on the pull down notification screen? How is that a widget/active tile?

Anyways, I don't do a whole lot of apps with my phone. I #1 make calls, #2 text, #3 take pictures, & #4 check the weather. Some emails and fantasy football, but they all do that. My next phone is going to have a better camera than my current G2 & moto x(work phone). I have not even ruled out whatever MS/Nokia comes out with on Verizon if it has a killer camera and decent battery life.

Keep the feedback coming and put up some pics you've taken with the phones!

It's sad to see that u got your iPhone and there are bugs in it.. But 70% of the bugs will be fixed in the next 8.0.1 update.. So ul be fine..

Hmm, i was a long time android user/apple hater until I bought an iPhone 5S and I do not miss android at all and will never go back.

I'm the complete opposite of you. The more time I spent with with apple, the more I realize how much I hate android.

I had the original Moto Droid with the slide out keyboard and have owned several HTCs and Samsungs. I used to root my devices and never even considered an iPhone. My girlfriend was an apple hater until she got an iPhone 4 for work 2 years ago. Now she won't use any other device either.

Even though the screen was tiny, when I used it a few times when my phone reception was bad(I have tmobile and she has verizon) I noticed how much smoother the phone was and how much easier it was to do things. No struggling to type, no lag/stutter, no crashing, etc etc. Even web browsing just seemed easier. Zooming was more intuitive. Typing in passwords, etc.

After having to send back my Samsung for yet another warranty repair(3 of 3 android devices in 3 years) I finally said screw it. I bought the 5s even though the screen is tiny. I already had an iPad and eventually grew to love it.

In a year of ownership, I've had ZERO issues with my phone. The experience is just so smooth and everything just works. Maybe I'm getting old. I just don't want to tinker with things anymore. My only issue is iTunes. I hate loading music and syncing.

I am now typing this on my new macbook air I bought a month ago and LOVE it. I have 4 PCs I've built on my own and this is my first mac. Same experience - things are just so smooth. The touchpad is a dream.

Yeah, I know. This sounds like an ad for apple. Hard to believe I am one of "those" people I used to make fun of. I even buy iPads for android family members in an attempt to convert them.

Their mobile division (primarily phones) accounted for 61% their total revenues and 68% of their operating profits in 2013, so I do think they need to be concerned. Last quarter was bad. The iPhone 6 is going to make that worse.

thats because they are spending all the money they do make on ads bashing apple......and they are still losing.
