Time?

I see what you did there ;)

Notice a couple of things.

  1. Setup was quite fast. MUCH faster than my OG AWU when I set it up fresh
  2. Watch is thinner than the AWU and has a lighter wrist feel
  3. The Digital Crown is easier to use at the angle it resides
  4. audio volume (despite the lack of visible side speaker holes) is quite good.
  5. LASTLY - don't take pictures of a watch with the ultra-wide camera, makes watches look more large than they are lol.

Loaded a different watch face that I like so far!

How is the height (from one side to the other) compared to the awu2? I ended up selling my awu2 as slightly too big for me (height and thickness I kept catching the square bezels on everything). I don't have massive wrists and my 46mm forerunner 265 is about as big as I would go

Thanks, size looks ok, but think pixel watch maybe better size wise and fitness wise. I will prob stick with my Garmin until they put everything behind a paywall 😂

I am weak...couldn't resist the refurb AWU2 for $679 from Apple direct. Watch is mint and never would know it is refurbished. And then jumped on the $300 trade in offer from Samsung for my Watch 6 Classic toward the Watch Ultra. Love both watches and use each with its respective brand of phone on a rotating basis. I thought rolling with two phones was good enough, now I have two watches...

So.. I caved in and got a GW7 LTE on a crazy deal to run until the new ones are released in July/August. The AWU2 is now sitting in the drawer alongside the i16P.

I haven't received the latest GW7 update. Is it only for the Ultra?

Did the recent update screw up timers on the Galaxy 7? I was using a workout yesterday after I updated the watch and it kept freezing and then going when I would look at it. It doesn't feel as smooth as it was before.

Ya I updated my Watch 7 the other day, now the watch feels a little bit laggy. Not too drastic, but definately notiable.

I keep getting a notification regarding updating Time Zones and it will update the next time I start my phone. Does anyone else get this notification and how do I stop it.

The Galaxy Ultra, for as "ugly" as everyone has said it is, has gotten more compliments and random inquiries that any smart watch I've ever owned.
Well, watches are subjective so one person's ugly is another person's stylish/attractive etc. At least Samsung isn't afraid to try something different. I've now had the GWU in the black/orange and silver/titanium and think it's a great balance of smart and active features and styling.

I personally find the regular Apple Watch to be one of the most insipid looking watches ever made - especially the S10, which adds nothing but a sliver of extra unnoticeable thinness in place of any attempt at evolving the design.

I didn’t find it ugly either when I owned it though I also don’t love the design—the circle in a square is certainly ‘unique’ and admittedly a clever way to have a larger body that can possible store more battery. ;) I personally wouldn’t call is asthetically pretty. That being said, I far prefer it, the Apple Watch Ultra and the chunky Garmin designs over the smooth pebble like look of the Pixel Watch and regular Apple Watches.

My issues were functional deficiencies vs. the Apple Watch Ultra and not having either a physical rotating crown or bezel (like many of their other watches).

Apparently the Watch 8 Classic will be an Ultra design with rotating bezel:

Since everyone in this thread has Android watches, are you mainly using them with just an Android phone as your main mobile device combo? In other words, do you also have iPhones/Apple Watches in addition or not at all? Are you all using a mixed Mac/Android/WearOS ecosystem or is Windows part of your mix?
