Since everyone in this thread has Android watches, are you mainly using them with just an Android phone as your main mobile device combo? In other words, do you also have iPhones/Apple Watches in addition or not at all? Are you all using a mixed Mac/Android/WearOS ecosystem or is Windows part of your mix?
I use my Galaxy Watch Ultra with my S25U and ZFold 6. Pixel Watch 3 with my 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold and when I'm using my 16PM I will use my AW Ultra 2. Most of the time my S25U is on my personal line and my 9 Pro Fold is on my business line. In that case I still wear my Galaxy Watch Ultra. My machine in my office is Windows 11 as is my work laptop but for personal use I have a M4 MacBook Pro. Kinda all over the place but it works 😂

I prefer MacOS and don't see myself ever going away from that for personal use. I have 7 Apple TVs in my house and love how everything plays nice within the ecosystem with mac/iPad/apple TV. But for a mobile device I just love the flexibility of Android, specifically OneUI, and I love the productivity of a foldable and how they fit into my workflow.

I have both an iPhone and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. I tried the Galaxy Watch Ultra but as mentioned, found it couldn’t match what I get from the Apple Watch Ultra. I use the Pixel 9PF throughout the day but iPhone still has my main phone number. I’d like to use the 9PF as my main device but the Apple Watch Ultra and a handful of other preferences keep me on the iPhone.

All family and friends use iPhones so that also makes switching away difficult. Being in the US, nobody uses WhatsApp so the ecosystem pull is that much stronger for us.

I have my fingers crossed that Google rolls out their own version of an ‘Ultra’ design this summer so I can seriously contemplate possibly switching over. A slightly larger, more rugged design and build with a version of Gemini equivalent to what I have access to on my Pixel phone and I will take a hard look again.

I’m just becoming so frustrated with Apple as a company and their choices over the past year that I’d really like to vote with my wallet. I just don’t want a significantly compromised experience vs. how I use my devices now.

When I gave up the Iphone, I had to give up the Apple Watch. I'm currently using the Galaxy 7 Watch. To be honest, other than the Monthly Challenges which kind of gave me anxiety, I wish I could still use the Apple Watch. I find the Galaxy watch kind of laggy, and have to put in my passcode a lot.

If you are getting laggy I would definitely do a reset I throw everything at this watch never a lag. The only thing I can think of for having to put in your passcode a lot is that you're not wearing it tight enough

Refresh my memory again, wasn't apps the issue when it came to switching from the Galaxy Watch Ultra to the Apple Watch Ultra? I could be wrong.

A big part of it, yes. I also some dislikes with the Galaxy Watch Ultra hardware, specifically buttons and lack of rotating crown/bezel. Some of the app functionality I can only hope devs will make some changes to mirror their functionality on Watch OS and I’m doing my part to push the changes by reaching out to devs with my requests.

Just hopeful for some changes this summer that get me closer to making a switch.

Tightness is probably an issue, but sometimes I feel like it's too tight. I did a reset earlier so maybe that will help. I wondered if it was a recent update issue.

Hopefully it will be good now after the reset. If you are using it right then that would likely eliminate it being the issue.

Now this has me intrigued… since Spotify is jumping on the train, I suspect Android watches are becoming a thing. Perhaps, Apple could follow… news like this makes me optimistic.

Still rocking my Pixel Watch 3. Good device, but expensive. I chose the 45mm so it's partially my fault (picked the GPS version). I love the round face and the little dial, but I hate the strap mechanism and how there's hardly any 3rd-party bands. I decided to go with the woven band, but it's ugly. Unfortunately they (Google) didn't have a stretch band for the 45mm at the time, otherwise I would've bought that. Oh well.

Received OneUI 8 beta for the Galaxy Watch... joined the beta program. Awaiting to download...

Did anyone do the Samsung Olympic Day challenge? That was a struggle but I finished it tonight. I wasn't even going to finish it over the weekend mainly because I thought it ended last night. Having it end today felt like a one day extension. That is as close to a monthly challenge as I've gotten with this watch. Lots of walking and I think I'm going to hit 300000 steps for July. Now the last 10 days I can take a little break.

Finally!

I didn't know that was a thing... where did you find that at?
