Great app for the iPhone but for a large iPad? Not so much. Could you imagine trying to hold a ~10" iPad to scan an item?
As for augmented reality, does that not require holding the device in front of you as you look around (for a store/stars/directions)? Again, I just don't see such a large device benefitting from a rear camera. The iPhone is great due to its smaller design, but a large iPad?![]()
Never before has a digital camera shipped with such a large viewfinder. I've said it before and I will say it again. This will be a major selling point. Augmented reality, scanning, and just plain old mucking around. The youngsters and the oldies are gonna LOVE it. And they're the ones who get the most out of iPad anyway. Sorry but anyone who doesn't see the potential of the iPad with a rear facing camera simply lacks vision (no pun intended).
