I'm impressed that you can see the screen quality difference in a video. I really didn't think you'd be able to tell that much through a camera.

I'm actually a bit disapointed, it is true that the new display is amazing and the improvement of the camera is noteworthy but the number one reason I got rid of my ipad 2 was due to its weight and the new ipad is actually heavier. I'll wait until the smaller ipad comes out.

Oh I don't doubt that. Trust me, I'm not nieve. It just makes me growl every time anyhow. When iPad 2 came out, they weren't happy because it wasn't a retina display. Now that it's a retina display, they aren't happy because it's not quad core. Don't worry, they'll have something to complain about next time too.

you have two retinas, one in each eye![]()
So is it really that heavy for you?
EDIT: your sig! you have a 17" MBP and want an iPhone with a bigger screen. LOL
you might be waiting quite a while for a smaller iPad.
I wonder if apps open a little faster.
Then I will, I am quite happy with my Playbook for now.
Why would they? Supposedly the CPU is pretty much the same one as in the iPad 2, as far as specs go. If anything, apps will open a little slower, since it will take longer to load/process the higher-resolution assets.
wow! you might be the only one! even research in motion aren't happy with it!
while I agree with you, I think he meant from watching the video that it looks slightly faster and was asking if anybody else had noticed the same thing.

I don't know anybody that is unhappy with their Playbook. It does everything I need it to do (ebook, movies and browsing) very well, sometimes better than the iPad.
Does anyone know how the new iPad will handle older iPad apps?
Meaning are they gonna be blown up to to size or will they be a smaller box in the middle of the screen like when you use an iPhone app on the iPad?
Will there be some sort of filtering or anti-aliasing involved? Somewhat similar to how a Vita can do for old PSP games?
Or does everything that's not updated just look like ass mold?
Just curious if that's been discussed. Either way, my new iPad arrives Friday![]()
I still don't understand why it doesn't have an 8MP camera like the iPhone 4S. Makes no sense.
