I find I have to use half page turns on the iPad air. With a pro you could use a full page. What is that piece ? Bach ?

It's Handel. What apps do you use for reading music? I use forscore, it's quite good I find, but I'm not sure if there're any better alternatives.

I think the iPad Pro will renew Apple's commitment to furthering the possibilities of tablet computing in the new age. Anyone who thinks iPad is dead or a declining business is flat out wrong. This is just the beginning.

Call me crazy but...

What if they relaunch the iBook? I was looking at the old white iBook laptops and noticed the monitor's bezels were eerily similar to the iPad's. The older ones at least. What if Apple is not really trying to fix iPad sales as much as they are relaunching a product for schools and businesses? Then the hybrid concept comes back into play and the iPad users will keep with their usual refresh rate of every 4 years or so.

Suddenly a stylus makes sense. Suddenly the detachable keyboard/OSX base makes sense. Suddenly handoff takes on new meaning. And of course the new cables that daisy chain devices and external monitors make more sense. These guys are known for creating productivity and entertainment ecosystems, not stand alone devices. They like to make their kids play with each other. It's what makes Apple products "magical" right?

Maybe that's why the leaked schematics for the iPad Pro had such wide bezels on them to begin with. Maybe it's about more than just bigger battery and more powerful internals. Maybe there will be thickness for a stylus, and for detaching from a keyboard base that is a computer in its own right. And if they can get the price point in that sweet spot, the one half of us likes and half of us hates, then we might have a winner.

I use for score as well. It's not good at managing my pdf library though. I used a surface pro 3 for a while but that's over kill just to read music. Think I'll wait for an iPad pro and get a refurb it should be good for this use.

Handel. I was close. Are you a pianist? I mostly use the iPad for sight reading stuff off Imslp or PDFs I have. Don't have much time for sight reading during the semester but during summer I practice sight reading a lot.

Yup. Apple is very seldom the first. They see what people actually buy, not what they say they want, then add a better implementation of the feature on their products. They learned their lesson when people said they wanted a cheaper iPhone, then refused to purchase a 5c.

For the record, I see lots of 5c "in the 'proverbial' wild"

I thought they were selling nicely, once the 5S got out of the lime light

I'm more interested in what's under the hood, since there seems to be a bit of confusion over the OS. Will it be iOS or OSX? Some people thing because of the Pro moniker that it will be running OSX, similar to like Microsoft's Surface Pro

This, I think we need to see the full functionality the device will offer AND it's price before we get excited, if it exists of course ;) We will have the Pro 4 out soon enough.

Note that they have stopped production of the 5c. Not enough people were buying it to make it financially feasible. Even many iPods models are still financially feasible for them.
