I owned a note...almost never used the S Pen and when I did, the functions didn’t work because of software problems. You cannot compare the crude stylus of the Newton to the sophisticated S Pen

It all depends on your use case; the context of OP’s remarks was spreadsheets.
ikr? If there’s anything much less demanding wrt graphics, I can’t think of it.LOL, yeah, you're good to go for that then.
Your follow-up makes no sense. What nonsense. Say I get the note 9 and they do not release a note 10,i still have the note 9. I can't understand your logic.
What's pathetic and shameless is the line of thinking used in this post.Lol, can't wait to hear how this is groundbreaking and how they're NOT copying Samsung. This is more like Apple buying time to fully copy Samsung. I'll call it now, 2020 Apple will have a Galaxy Note copy, and they will site the popularity of their users using the pencil on their iPhones. It would be way too obvious if they straight brought out their Galaxy Note clone that they already have in the works. Pathetic.
Oh and the other pathetic thing will be, the Apple apologists that trashed the Note for its SPen. And now have all of a sudden, have a new found open mindedness about a stylus on a phone. But just like Apple, they can't just come out and admit to it. They can't just be like, "it's so awesome to have the option of a stylus on a phone." That would just expose them for being shameless hypocrites, so instead, they'll say something like," I guess it's good to have options, but I'll never use it." But we all know full well, they're just dying to have it built in the phone like the Note. Pathetic and shameless.
So some innuendo until it's proven, vs. http://time.com/4526350/samsung-galaxy-note-7-recall-problems-overheating-fire/ Got it.Why would you laugh at lost of lives?

Your follow-up makes no sense.
Buying a Note 9 has nothing to do with FFR's comment.
To break down simply, if a company sees something is not selling, there is a potential it will be dropped.
Has nothing to do with what you are holding on to.
The clue to why you see so many is in your answer.
The Note line for Samsung is niche product.
In 2017 Samsung sold a combined 33 million Note 8 and Galaxy S8
iPhone maintains reign as top tech best-selling product in 2017
If you have some opposing data links please share.
Yeah, they'd have to build a housing in the device for me to use it. Even then, I've found my handwriting has gotten so atrocious I can't even read it later, so I don't use the Apple Pencil on my iPad. If I can't draw and I can't read my writing, what's the point?I have no interest in the pencil working on the phone... unless it can be kept inside the phone like the Samsung Note.
Even then, I don’t care for a pencil. Give mouse support on iPad!
McDonald's has served billions but it doesn't mean I would eat there.
Galaxy Note is for professionals and creators which is a smaller community than amateurs.
Of course I’m making an assumption here that if someone back in 2007 had asked him for stylus support on the next iPhone, he would’ve given that person a “special look” and said no. I think it’s highly likely and I’m sure so do you. However, we’re not really talking about then, but what he would’ve done now if he was still alive. I think there’s a fair chance he would’ve reluctantly agreed...or maybe not so reluctantly since it wasn’t wise to always buy stock in what he said. Of course, I’m sure someone would’ve brought it up at a Q&A he might have attended and it would’ve been interesting to hear his answer why he changed his mind. He might have used the more advanced technology angle as you mentioned in your very plausible argument. You're reaching and making assumptions, none of which you can prove.
Are you factoring in the technology of the time as opposed to what's available today?
The Apple pencil is not a dumb piece of plastic.
Even the Note 9 stylus has more functionality.
I would be happy to see anything you have to back this up.snip...Galaxy Note is for professionals and creators which is a smaller community than amateurs.
"Disagreeing" and "I Think" don't result in anything provable from your original comment.
Especially the part in red.
You go back and read what you said:Go back and read again.
If they decide to drop the future phones, how does that affect the consumer now?
This is another time you moved the goal post.Nope, as I pointed out in another post, I couldn't give a monkeys about sales data or marketshare. Totally unimportant as a consumer.
I would be happy to see anything you have to back this up.
Else-wise it could easily be said the Galaxy Note is for a niche group of die hard Samsung fandroids.
But you might not have to worry.
Samsung may be looking into merging the S line with the Note.
No sense having two low selling devices:
Will the Galaxy X kill Samsung’s iconic Galaxy Note phones?
What on earth are you on about! You go back and read what you said:
This is another time you moved the goal post.
Your original comment had no time frame of "now".
I can't give an opinion but I will make a sarcastic remark:Thats why sales matter.
Do you think they will drop the S plus or the note series?
It's no longer important. What on earth are you on about!
I can't give an opinion but I will make a sarcastic remark:
They can't drop the Note, its for :"professionals and creators" (which based on sales could all fit in NYC) /s

It's obvious from your responses you don't even remember what you posted.

Ugh still trolling here I see. Sad. I love how the fansungs think they invented everything first. It’s them against the world. Just sad to see a huge company like Samsung not be able to innovate anymore. New note 9 is a joke. It’s a bigger S9 with a Bluetooth stylus.1993 just popping by to say hello

That response was to another thread from the die hard Samsung loyalist sevanw. Not you Jsameds. He loves to spew his hate towards apple.Ugh still trolling here I see. Sad. Next.
SCHOOLED!Buy a samsung then. Hang out on forums dedicated to samsung. I have now solved your problem. You're welcome.

People keep telling me that, but I have never seen one being used in public or known anyone who has one. This is in Philadelphia also. Samsung sold an estimated 10 million Note 8 devices. As much as you want to believe that stylus' are hugely popular, the Note 8 didn't sell well at all. You're right though, no one is harsh, a very small number of people use a stylus. That's a little more accurate.
Right. I’ll be a “fanboy”. You can keep your app drawer and useless settings for all your apps and customization. That’s about the only half interesting thing on an android. That's exactly what the Apple fanboys were saying about large screen phones right up until the time Apple started to offer them. Then it was the best thing since sliced bread to them.
I dunno.... I’m guessing very, very few..
I’d love to see some REAL data on percentage of Note users that actually use it.
I actually come from a cellular sales background (5+ years; both of the big 2) & I’ve genuinely never seen one used “in the wild”- only when someone is showing off their new Samsung.
