Other Any guys getting the Gold iPhone

I think I may finally do gold this year. I’m pretty much done with the Space Gray and Silver over all these years. Besides a vast majority of the time over the years I’ve ended up with the phones being in cases that don’t even show the back so if I end up not liking the gold I’ll just throw a case on it.

As others have said, the color of the phone doesn’t define gender one bit...

Space Gray just looks kinda boring now. It was the go-to when every other colour had a white front, but this year it’s the least inspiring choice. Having had space gray for years, I’d soon be underwhelmed by yet another dark, dull phone.

It’s all about GOLD this year, no matter who you are.

Guys will not think less of you - in fact, they don't care. Girls, however, will give you compliments. A winning situation (my experinces with Gold iPhone 8).

Rose Gold would perhaps be another thing, but Gold - definitely a great choice. Makes you stand out from the crowd in that small, confident way.

Any guys getting the Gold iPhone Xs Max? I currently have the iPhone X in Silver, I think the gold looks cool, but at the same time I feel like it’s more like a girl color phone? Of course nothing wrong with that, I just wish I could see it in person so I can make up my mind! I also like the SG, but I’ve heard of the stainless steel coating peeling off.

Honestly I don’t think this gold iPhone looks girly. Just depends how you rock it. I would get one but already have the X so might just keep my money.

If you are concerned that the color of a piece of tech is an affront to your masculinity then you need to work on some issues. There is no such thing as a "girly" color.

Ordered the gold XS now that it finally has a black front. Always hated the white front on previous Apple devices. Plan to use it with a Dbrand skin on the back for some grip.

But they really aren't. You've just been conditioned to think they are because things like baby and kids stuff come in pink for girls and blue for boys. This has not always been the case. Likewise other colors have been marketed for a specific gender.

It's fine to dislike a color just because you don't like how it looks but there is nothing else to it. As a heterosexual male, I'll gladly wear a pink shirt with my blue jeans because I like how those colors look. Just as I like how the gold iPhone looks.

I was planning on space grey up until about 10 min before the release, then I changed my mind to gold. Had nothing to do with my masculinity and everything to do with the fact that I have had 5 black iPhones in a row that I was getting a little bored of. Stoked for gold!!

I always buy the pitika carbon fibre cases anyways so only a little gold will show.. but hey I like to be different

I always had space gray/black iPhones. The only one I got in silver was the iPhone 5 due to the anodizing not been durable. This year with the Xs I was thinking of getting a silver one but I saw the gold one so I ordered the gold one and if I don’t like the gold one I just swap it for the silver.

Me personally I dont care that it is feminine color of gold. I like the band but the back is gross to me thats just a preference. I love the silver and have always loved black. I love those colors in everyday things also not much a gold fan I see it as a trend the last few years in things and I dont like trendy stuff(haha yea iPhones).
If apple made the gold actually look like the band id be all over that but it just looks like a blush light color not bold like the band is.

My dream phone would be a product red phone with a space black band since they cant figure out how to do red for stainless it seems.

Also how many of you are getting the gold and putting a case on it?

I’m Purchasing gold because I like the color. I could care less what anyone else’s perception is based on what type of color a phone is. The only people that care about someone else’s iPhone color is on a tech forum.

not true. there are tons of people that flaunt their brand new color phone that arent techies. You'd be surprised the amount of people that use the new color opportunity as a status
