my girlfriend is a bit over 6 years older than me, and we're very happy. there was some worry early on, and there's some natural differences between people who are going to be at slightly different points in their lives, but i agree with whoever said that the women my age are generally not as mature and that gets old.
of course, the men my age are not generally as mature, so it works both ways.
my previous girlfriend was about a year older than me, but that's not really enough to create much difference.

My mother and I would both love it if the 'perfect' man came around and was attractive and Caucasian-- reasoning? Cute mixed babies. I kid you not! In high school I had this little crush/fling w/ this cute geeky white guy and my mom kept pressuring me to get w/ him and so I finally asked her what the deal was w/ all the pressure (she's never been after me to date someone) and she looked a bit embarrassed before replying that she wouldn't mind cute mixed grandchildren. 😛efoto said:

Saying that, some of the hottest guys in London are black or Asian. I like all types of people really... it's attitude and kindness that counts after all and I genuinely mean it.
But on completely superficial and shallow grounds, I do tend towards the dark-haired swarthier end of the spectrum rather than pale blonde, blue-eyed types unless it's Rutger Hauer circa 1985... growwwl.

Other than one girl from Puerto Rico, and another who was from Hawaii (although mainly Caucasian), I've dated only "white" women. However, this isn't due to preference (I'm color-blind that way and find that every blend of nationalities/backgrounds produces both attractive and non-attractive people). I've had major crushes on women from a number of very different ethnic backgrounds, although I was too wimpy to act on them.
My dream woman would be one who is pale, very slightly olive-skinned with dark brown hair and hazelly-green eyes. But I tend to doubt such a goddess exists outside my fantasies.

I have only dated one woman other than a Caucasian woman, and that was the short-lived romp with the Asian a short while back. I tend to be most attracted to tall white brunettes, however blondes are welcome as I try not to discriminate 🙂. I find Asian women extremely attractive and subsequently intimidating, and have also found some attraction to Latino women, but not as much.

My aunt (duh, Asian) and her Irish heritaged husband had a child, my cousin, who's now 12. But when she was younger she had the most gorgeous auburn hair, creamy pale skin, and large large beautiful Asian eyes.
