The 'slower' TouchID works for me as someone who wants to see the lock screen.
I'm coming from a 6 plus, which has the old style TouchID and I've not really had problems on the plus or my SE

I find it interesting. I've upgraded from an iPhone 6 and I love it. So much more comfortable in the hand. For those who are saying they've missed the smaller form factor yet have come from a + device, what was your reasoning for going for the + over the 6/6s?

If the preference was for a smaller phone, what was the idea behind going for the larger of the 2 previously? Not arguing, just interested in different peoples logic with purchasing behaviour :)

Came from a 6S and have zero regrets. My only wish after seeing them in-store is that I'd have gone with the silver over rose gold. My screen is warmer than my 6S was but honestly I don't think I'd have noticed had I not put them side by side for a size comparison.

Why don't you just exchange it for the silver then? You have 14 days.

I have no remorse and I'm keeping my SE. I love the size and design and the power button on top. I'm also keeping my 6s as of now....I plan to use my SE during the week when I work as it's easier to keep in my pockets with dress clothes. I might use my 6s on the weekends when I'm usually in cargo shorts or take it with me on long weekends away or vacation. I really like both for different reasons. Swapping out the sims cards is easy and I have unlimited w/ Verizon so it's all good!!

That would be the best case scenario. I wish I could afford to have both. I think I'd like to be able to go back and forth sometimes.

Yup. Traded in my robust 5s. Realized im tired of an old design with big bezels and a screen that doesn't sit as tight to the glass as the newer 6 models. Speed felt the same so got a 6 instead.

I ended up going back to my 6S Plus. I prefer the one hand use of the SE but I found myself having difficulty with the smaller screen in the daytime in my car. I mean, I could buy a standalone gps system but would rather not spend the extra cash and use my phone. First world problems.

I went from iPhone 1 i bought new in 2008, then I wanted bigger so I went Samsung Note 1, then I got sick of large screens so I bought a Blackberry 9900, then I got sick of the small screen and no apps and I went back to my Note, then this past Christmas I picked up a MS Lumia 640xl, Then the day after the SE keynote (I wasn't interested so I didn't watch) I found a busted up iPhone 5 in a parking lot - and just picking it up made me realize I could really use a small phone for when I'm exercising so I grabbed a SE on release morning.

The SE is much, much better size wise for exercising (plus has all the apps I actually would love to use) - and since I'm already running iMac's and iPads and iCloud etc it makes some sense ;)

I'm sure there will be something newer like this from Apple in the near future - but this phone would/will be perfect for my daughter who is almost at the age to get her own phone.

Love it. I wanted 64 GB, but I can do with 16 GB fine.

No remorse at all. My 5 inch phone looks like a giant, ugly, phablet. The SE is so much more usable.

I hope Apple at least releases a 4 inch phone once every two years.

I don't understand people giving up the better screen from their 6s for the se. 0,7" aren't that much and I even can handle my + fine.
The se's design it's timeless nice, but giving up the iPhone 6s for which you already paid is irrational and shows how stubborn some apple users are. And some always want the newest Apple product but that's how apples business works.
This is my personal conclusion after having considered to exchange my 6s+ for the se. I'll stay with it and be happy.

It certainly says something that people are trading out their 6S iPhones for the SE. What it says, well I think it's a mixed message.

Meaning those turning in their 6s/6s+ always wanted a 4" choice? Or those turning in their 6s/6s+ just want the latest Apple has to offer regardless?

I can't speak for everyone, but I came from a 5S to a 6+. Originally, in store, the screen is breathtaking. It's large, new. Then there is also the problem of all the carriers having them tied down to the stupid anti-theft pods, so it isn't like you get the best feel for it anyway. I consider my purchase a mistake. A 64GB 6+ was a $900 device. And it can't multitask, the keyboard stutters when typing too fast, it wasn't shipped with enough RAM in my opinion. Can't reach the top of the screen to go back, close X's, can't quickly send off a text with one-hand. I actually rest my pinky finger alongside the charging cable if I'm using it while charging, in order to make it more comfortable. I'd wager at least, if not more than 80% of users are switching 'back' to a smaller screen size because of the ergonomics of the larger size. It's truly not a good design.

I'm sure many plus owners are doing this, relatively speaking. I can't even imagine trying to carry that iPad in my pocket or even keeping up with it all day! Sheesh.

I can understand what you're saying. What you listed is what's mostly keeping me with the 4.7" model. The 4.7" model does have its gripes as well in terms of ergonomics and reaching certain things on screen without adjustment.

Tried out the SE at the Apple Store today but I'm still undecided if I want to make the switch back to the 4" screen. I'd definitely miss the trackpad feature which I've surprisingly been using a lot as of recent

Totally agree with the track pad. I've always had problems tapping in between letters only on iphone. Track pad was one sweet feature when I had the 6s

wait, what? the silver ones don't suffer from the yellow displays??

I love my new iPhone SE. It is basically the same as my old 5S but with some new features like Apple Pay. I thought it would be little snappier than my 5S with the A9 but it is still great. Haven't had much time yet to play with all t.he new features. But so far I am totally happy.

I was thinking about a SE to replace my 5C, I was jelly because my wife just got a S7 but with my 920/1020/640, Nexus 5, and iPhone 6 sim swapping, I just cant keep up anymore, I just ordered a 830 too. I might have a problem..

SE is a nice phone if you like the 4" screen size.
