After having my SE for 16 days, its been the only phone I've had in years that I am completely content with. Ever since the 6 line and up I've hated Apple's design. The 6, 6S and plus variants look ugly. They're too thin, too smooth and too hard to hold onto. The 5, 5S and SE are beautiful phones.

I went from a 6 to an SE and couldn't be happier. The 6 feels like a mini tablet now. I type faster on the SE. I get much better battery life than the 6 gave me. The extra GB of ram makes a world of difference in web browsing, which is the number one thing I do on my phone.

I can't think of anything I dislike about the SE.
That's cool...so no yellow screen or bluetooth problems? Lol

Why didn't you just get another SE? Your SE was faulty so you got a 5S instead? That makes no sense.
There was no stock left to exchange. I didn't want to wait 10 days and the same to happen. I tried a few display models and they felt the same way. The reason I bought the 5s was to do me until September when I can decide if I'd like to get the 7 and because it only cost me €250. Huge saving there. There are no Apple stores in the Republic of Ireland so there is a big difference when trying to exchange or replace faulty products as opposed to having a local store that can make those decisions then and there. Tell me what makes more sense now?

I don't regret getting the SE for the screen size. I don't regret getting the SE for the selfie camera. I don't regret getting the SE for its lack of 3D Touch.

But what I regret getting it for is the poor build quality. The vibration is weaker than in my old iPhone 5 to the point, where I don't feel it in my pocket anymore. There is also a loud and very annoying rattling noise when it vibrates in horizontal position. Last but not least the Home Button feels broken and makes a very loud plastic noise when releasing it.

I really don't want to be too nitpicky about this, but it just feels wrong and doesn't do my overall impression of Apple products any justice. Of all the Apple devices I owned, this feels like the cheapest by a mile.

I will probably contact support and try to get an exchange SE, because I really love this phone apart from the issues above. It is blazingly fast, its battery lasts forever, it takes great pictures and it is the perfect size for me. I really hope I just got a bad SE.

Regarding the vibration feeling lower, I thought that too but I went into setting to adjust the vibration so it was stronger and sure enough it worked. So your setting may be too low.

Setting>Sounds>Ringer and alerts, move the slider bar farther to the right. I didn't think it would do anything but for me it increased the feel of vibration alerts, I also have the toggle switch right above that ON for Vibrate on Ring and Vibrate on Silent.

I had to change my vote. Ended up returning my SE, at least for now due to Bluetooth issue. I will consider repurchasing once Apple gets this squared away. The end of my return period was approaching so I had to make a choice. I will surely miss my SE in the meantime. Hopefully Apple gets this sorted soon.

What about the matte edges

I miss mine too. If Apple can sort the quality issues I'd love another

I have had mine since launch. No regrets for me coming from a 6S

My only bug bear is that swiftkey seems to be hard to work with. But that's probably the software. As I spend most of my time behind this Imac the phone is usually plugged in and I use the Imac for calls and SMS and whatsapp anyway.

I love the size. I now only carry my phone. I sometimes forget I have it, I certainly feel better having it concealed.

My bluetooth headphones work well for music and talking (Plattan ADV) No problems with music quality.

I recently had my wallet lifted and I had to go through all my cards being re issued. Today my bank said to me in a instant message.

"Distraction fraud – a type of scam that involves someone distracting you when you’re at a cash machine in order to get your PIN or card – is on the rise. To keep your money safe, always shield your PIN and don’t let anyone distract you or look over your shoulder."

When I replied

"Or just use ApplePay" The agent said it was the best response they had, ever!

So no, I have about 35GB used with Spotify even though I have an unlimited hotspot/handset data allowance. The phone is great and if I need to charge when I am on the bus we are lucky that the busses have WIFI/USB fast charging anyway (great for when phone and Headphones need it - as we get 2 sockets each)

Love it all :)

switched from my 6s+ (still have it) to the SE. no remorse really since I do still use my Note5 for my phablet-sized device. I use both platforms and finally just wanted a smaller 'other one'. I've always liked the 5s body and the SE is really the smallest beast around. but if it were my only phone.. hell no, I can't do it. the small screen wouldn't satisfy my other purposes.

the only thing that's bugging me is how I can't edit (colour correction within the app) my videos from Filmic Pro because of the SE's screen resolution (according to the vague error message). never had the issue on my 6s+.

Yeah I returned my SE today for the same exact reason.

Today I felt a slight hesitation when prepping my 6S Plus to sell. I put the SE and Plus side by side, and carried on using them both, but every time I reached for the SE over the Plus. It's a great device, but the SE just suits me so much better. I'll be keeping it.

There are several threads on this issue..however the SE has issues with many bluetooth voice connections. Multiple devices and car kits. My SE sounded distorted on voice calls when connected via bluetooth in my car.

Is anyone that left a 6/6s 6+/6s+ for the iPhone SE feeling any regret or buyers remorse? Or is anyone on the fence about which phone you want to keep? Curious how folks are feeling about the different screen sizes now that the phone is out...

My previous phone was the Sony Z3 compact (4.6"). It is too expensive to hop from phone to phone on a whim but, I was in the mood for a new phone so I bought the SE (16GB) just after it came out. I got a good few years from my old Sony.

Likes:
1) The size. I don't normally web-browse on my phone. I use my Surface Pro for that. I like smaller which is a change for me. I sold my sexy orange 'Z3 compact' to a friend that also wanted to go smaller.
2) Voice quality. Pretty good I think, better than the Z3.
3) 'Move to iOS' app in the google app store. Hey, this app worked better than what my carrier could have done for me. It moved my pictures, messages, contacts, calendar, everything.
4) Screen quality. Smooth, looks nice.
5) Camera. Takes great pictures. Same as the 6s I hear. The z3 had better stock image viewer IMO.
6) Finger-print recognition. This works quite well... I don't know why there is talk about it being slow.

Dislikes:
1) Battery life. I have the same plan and configuration as I did on my Z3. Usage hasn't changed. My Z3 would go for 8 days (2600mAH). The SE (1624mAH) goes for 3 days if I am lucky. Z3 has more capacity in a 'slightly' larger body and does better with the capacity.
2) No notification LED. Ok, I kinda miss it. I have to touch my phone to see if I missed anything.
3) MMS auto-uses Data. Not many phones do this. I have data disabled on my phone although enabled through my carrier. On the Sony when you send an MMS, it automatically enabled Data even though you have data disabled just for MMS (which is free). On the iphone, I have to turn data on to send or get an MMS and risk charges from other services.
4) The lightning connector is good, but the Z3 had a magnetic dock that just touched the pogo connector on the z3.
5) Not IP67 water-tight, dust tight. Maybe one day. i gotta be extra careful.

Putting aside Android vs iOS, I miss the z3. I think I will survive with the SE. If the iphone had #1, #2, #3 I'd be overjoyed.

I was in a similar situation, I had iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S plus.
The SE suits my lifestyle and workflow so either the 6S plus or the 6 had to go.
6S plus is an amazing iPhone but it had to go because I knew that I could never go back to such a large phone.

compared to the 6s/Plus Touch ID when it first came out, you'd understand why it was considered slow. but it's not bad at all.
Yup. I have an iPad 3 Mini, and it seems even better than that. So with the iPhone SE... I'm gonna hang on to it for a few years I suppose. If I am still struggling with iOS after a few years I may go back to the Zn Compact (what-ever version it may be in a few years). With the success of the SE... maybe Apple will continue making small phones.

I'm also coming from the Z3C, but have had an iPhone before. I agree, the Z3C was a fantastic phone, and the only reason I switched back to iPhone is because Sony decided to end the Compact line. I miss the battery life on it the most.

There is a Z5C available... and it looks even more awesome(r). Although, not officially for sale in Canada... I'd go shopping at expansys.ca.

I can't believe this would be the end of the Sony Z- compact yet. I see a Z6C will be coming.

The Z5 Compact looks way too cool.

I bought one and returned it, it was just too small for me. I then went and bought a mint condition 6S 64GB for about the same money. So now I have a 6S Plus 128GB and a 6S 64GB.

And you gonna keep both ?
