Any lines for the iPhone 8 or 8+?

As the question states, has there been any news of lines for the iPhone 8 and 8+ outside of any Apple store?

I work at Best Buy as the Verizon rep and we've had maybe a handful of folks actually asking about the iPhone 8, let alone preordering one. The overwhelming majority of folks are waiting on the 10. The 10 launch is going to be pure craziness straight out of black Friday hell. I expect lines and possible fights

Glad I’m skipping that CF of a phone. I’ve decided to pick up an 8+ for one year until the second iteration of the X makes an appearance.

You may not know this, but your fueling my thought of picking up an 8 tomorrow after getting some hands on time with it. What are you switching from?

6s+.

I was prepared to get the X but the more I hear the less desire I have. It hardly seems worth it for 9 or 10 months too.

My 6s+ is still working great but I’m constantly up against the 128gb limit. Just as importantly, I love the portrait mode on my wife’s 7+ so I’d like it as well for taking pictures of my four year old.

I would say this post is a good indication of somebody that has personal experience in the carrier business that knows the iPhone X will be wildly popular like the first iPhone.

Yep should have started it at 1,049 for 128gb...
 
I just visited my local apple store during lunch and it didn’t seem very busy. Easy to walk in and play with the display phones.

I overheard one customer asking for the price of an iPhone 8+ and the assistant said “these are new to me so I don’t know yet I’ll have to check the app”. Boggles my mind how they can’t even know the prices by now....

Overall coming from an iPhone 7 I wasn’t particularly impressed. The glass back felt nice but it would probably end up in a case anyway. It’s basically a slightly higher powered 7 and considering it runs the same software there’s nothing for me.

Which is why it’s rarely worth upgrading a phone that’s only 1 year old. Unless you have a desperate need for wireless charging, there’s no reason to go from a 7 to an 8. Coming from a 6 or older though, I think it’s a very good upgrade.

Arrived at the Apple Store in Miami around 7:30 local time. Maybe a good 50 people around. No sim-unlocked devices, but was able to buy a “Tmobile” one at full retail. Same difference...256 8+ Space Gray
