I’m considering Hogwarts Legacy but… I don’t know if it’s worth the 11€ it’s now.

Actually, it’s not about the price, but rather because Amazon Prime now includes Luna at no additional cost, and Hogwarts Legacy is one of the featured games there…

Other games I’d be interested in are still quite expensive, such as Astro Bot (50€), Marvel’s Spiderman 2 (40€), FFXVI Complete Ed (40€)… I mean, despite having a BluRay drive for physical disks, I prefer to buy digital, but I’m not spending 40 or 50€ on what are, allegedly, deals. A few years ago (PS4 time) digital AAA games in sales had a price of 10-12 maybe 16€, that’s why I bough a lot of them.

The only ones I’m tempted so far are DeathLoop at 14€, and maybe, only maybe, the pack of The Talos Principle Ultimate Collection for 35€, which includes the PS5 remake on UE5 of the awesome The Talos Principle, The Talos Principle 2, and the DLCs Road to Gehenna and Road to Elysium.

I wish Ghost of Yotei would hack a Black Friday sale. :)
I don’t even have tried Ghost of Tsushima… yet. Whenever I see the complete edition at a really good price, I’ll buy it.

While we’re on the resident evil subject I bought RE 2,3,4 and 7 😂.
Good purchase. People say RE2Remake is better than RE3Remake but, you know what? I enjoyed better the RE3Remake gameplay. I also started RE4Remake, visually it’s really stunning, but there’s something off with the gameplay. Maybe it’s the fact that the original RE4 gameplay is too good still in 2025.

I haven’t played RE7, and I’m not sure I’ll like it. I’m confident that I won’t play REViIIage (8), because I played the demo and the enemies had a polygon count so low that they looked like they were coming from a PS3 game. The surface textures on the other hand, they are great. But I’m not sure I’d enjoy it. Requiem (RE9) on the other hand, looks like a must have.

So totally dumb question and to be fair man maths is at play here.

Currently have the new PS5 slim digital edition the one with the small hard drive, currently hooked up to a 49" LCD LG that is a good 7 years old.

We will be moving house in the next two weeks, so have approval to get a new TV so that is great news, will be getting 65" LG C5, always had LG TVs and really like them, I use a C1 as my PC monitor.

Now in the UK I can get the C5 for £1499 or I can get it with a PS5 Pro for just shy of £1800, now that makes the PS5 pro half price, and if I did not have a PS5 it would be an easy decision to make, however I already have a PS5.

So I guess the question is, is it worth it upgrading to the PS5 Pro for less than £300?

I bought my Pro a few months ago.

I love it, but I never had a regular PS5 to compare it to.

How about getting the Pro, and selling your PS5?

You’ll want to get the most out of your new TV.

Well the current PS5 would either end up in my office or the bedroom to be honest, could sell it, and to be fair man maths says its a half price PS5 Pro so it is worth it to go with the new big shiny TV lol

I struggled with whether to upgrade or not also. I haven't regretted doing it!

If you manage to sell your almost new PS5 Slim for those £300 then I’d say yes, especially if you’re going to feel your current storage short (and yes, I know you can expand it, but I preferred to have those 2TB as my internal storage and not purchase an additional NVMe).

Otherwise I’d say, wait a couple of years for the PS6. But if you’re not planning on upgrading your PS5 then yes, I’d go for the PS5 Pro and sell your current PS5 Slim.

However, keep in mind that the jump is less noticeable than from PS4 to PS4 Pro, I’d say… still for me, having those rock solid frames per second was well worth it, especially now that I’m going to jump to an 4K HDR mini-LED monitor.
