I received my replacement Sheath today. Now this is Caudabe as we're used to. The fit is perfect, no more loose/bulky sides. Buttons now are smooth and easy to press. Passes the pinky test hands (or fingers) down (no rough edges around the port and speaker openings). Definitely a keeper.

Received my replacement Sheath for my 12 Pro Max and it is A+ fitment and buttons seem to be improved as well. Definitely happy with it this time around! Seems like Caudabe has fixed their dreaded fitment issues at last!

I received my revised black Sheath and another electric blue Sheath I ordered during the cyber Monday sale today and I couldn’t be happier. As others have said, the revised cases are the Sheath we’ve known and loved.

My 12 Pro Max Sheath arrived today after requesting a replacement back on November 14th. It's a perfect fit as I expected. They've won me back.

I was about to purchase the Apple silicone case and then paused because I remembered the Sheath. Anyone care to point out the advantages, if any, of the Sheath?

Not sure if there are any advantages to the Sheath over the Apple silicone case or vice versa, as I think it just comes down to personal preference.

The obvious advantage of the Apple case is that it has MagSafe, assuming the user is the charger and wants to take advantage of it. I’ve got both cases and the MagSafe charger, and since the charger still “sticks” to the back of the Sheath, I consider this a push. It’s obviously not as strong of a connection with the Sheath, but it does work.

Personally, I prefer the rougher texture of the Sheath over the silicone case, but I do like the smooth texture on the silicone case too.

The buttons are more “clicky” on the silicone case, but the buttons on the revised Sheath are good and seem to become more responsive the more you use the case.

I don’t think you can go wrong either way, though. And the lower cost of the Sheath makes it a winner.

You’ve already gotten good responses but going to add this one as well. It completely wraps around the front. The silicone/leather  cases don’t, you can still see the stainless steel or aluminum frame (12, 12 Mini) in the front, making it feel less secure like it could pop out a lot easier. I own a black  leather case and I absolutely love it and tried the silicone and returned it for two reason, I didn’t like the bulk, the leather one is slimmer and I don’t like the smooth finish of the silicone after a while it picks up oils easily and start to feel grimy. I prefer the texture of the Sheath for sure. I definitely feel like the sheath has the advantage on protection. I switch between the Sheath and the  leather as they are my two favorite cases. It all boils down to preference though!

These two cases are basically the main two that I buy for every iPhone that I purchase.

Thank you all for the wonderful replies! I am curious about one thing though, which offers better protection? On one end it seems the Sheath wraps around the front of the iPhone more, but the Silicone is heavier/bulkier. Kind of confused which one would be on top from that regard...

In my opinion, the Sheath would offer a bit better protection. While neither has a huge lip around the screen like something like a Speck case, I would be worried about the phone popping out of the silicone case during a drop. While I haven’t experience the issue some have of corners popping out of the silicone (and leather) cases like some have from just being in your pocket, the Sheath definitely isn’t coming off the phone during a drop. I feel comfortable saying the Sheath is the more protective of the two.

For me the advantage is the Sheath is a much nicer looking case in my view. Not bothered about MagSafe personally so that doesn’t factor. It’s down to personal preference I think mainly.

I did the same thing! I bought the black sheath, loved it so much and decided to buy the electric blue. I also got a lucid clear case. I’m definitely a Caudabe fan now!

Just wanted to add that I also received my replacement Shealth and the fit is fantastic! It's nice and snug, not loose like before. Also the buttons are MUCH easier to press than the initial Shealth I received, which had extremely flush and flat buttons that were difficult to press. I am very pleased and continue to be a big fan of Caudabe!

I keep requesting they offer a white Shealth though, I think that would be killer!

That is a really good idea! Now that I think about it, I'm surprised they haven't released the Sheath in white yet.

Been waiting for that white Sheath for a couple years now lol

anyone have photos of inside the revised case specifically the area of the volume and power buttons?

which screen protectors are you using?

I’ve been using Spigen cases on my previous iPhones. This is my first time using Caudabe case. I’m loving it so far!
