they finally replied to my email after i bugged them on twitter. said they've been swamped.
Hm, I had that feeling too. I ordered a navy blue sheath on Black Friday and it hasn't even shipped yet. It's been almost 3 weeks...

Well they sent me one and it was from the bad batch. Expecting a replacement this week. I wouldn’t be surprise if they held off on shipping yours and others it until they could replace their supply.

How can I tell if my Sheath is a bad batch? The fitment is excellent, but the buttons, while really tactile, are flush with the case, making them hard to find.

Just received the electric blue today. It’s a great color, here it is on my mini:

I finally received mine. I didn't get a reply from them until my case arrived. So their reply was more of a "Hey, it looks like your case arrived. Also, we were swamped" message.

The buttons on both of the sheaths I’ve received recently have buttons that aren’t flush however they don’t stick out very much at all. I think that’s normal.

If it fits uniformly all the way around the phone (you can’t see any of the frame of the phone) and the buttons are tactile, then I’d say you’ve got the revised edition.

Finally received my Sheath for my 12 Mini. It fits perfectly. I have the ESR screen protector that doesn't have the notch cutout and it fits perfectly inside the edge of the Sheath. It makes the phone totally protected besides the silent switch cutout and camera cutout. I think it's the perfect combo.

Could you take a photo?

Looks perfect on the blue Mini!

I got a reply from them after a few days. Indeed they seem to be swamped. Mine is on its way, I expect it to arrive within a couple of days or a week tops.

I think it's a combination of them being swamped and something happening with USPS (I'm guessing you're in the States). Everything I've ordered that shipped via USPS has been delayed by several days. In fact, on the USPS tracking site, there's a notice up at the top that mentions the delay.

I'm not in the States but impacted all the same since Caudabe also ships their international orders with USPS (unless we pay for express shipping via FedEx).
I wasn't aware of a problem with USPS, since international users are asked to use another tracking service.

Anyway, a standard Caudabe order usually takes 10 to 15 days to arrive, and that's OK, not that I'd be in a hurry anyway.

Finally! Been waiting for someone to post this combo. I have the navy case on my blue mini and it’s...fine. Wish they could retool their blue to be a closer match to the phone.

If you had ordered a case in any other color you'd have needed to move out of Kentucky lol. Great choice! I got one also, even though it had nothing to do with anything Kentucky related.

Truth! Obviously, I went for the electric blue Sheath because it’s Kentucky blue, but I’ve actually got 3 Sheaths at this point. Black, navy, and the blue. It’s always been my favorite case and once they worked out the kinks with the fit, I’m very happy with them.

Just got the Sheath for my Pro Max, fit is spot on, I have it with a Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Glas.tR EZ FIT]. Still waiting on them to send me a revised Lucid Clear which they said they were going to send me 2 weeks ago... just emailed them back.

Same here. My revised Sheath seems to fit great, but bottom volume button is still hard to push. Top one is good, not great like the Apple Leather. Not sure what I’m going to do. Still waiting on the revised Lucid Clear.

Took mine 7 days to travel 90 miles. That’s from the time it shipped, not from the time I ordered.

Finally, Caudabe Sheath in Electric Blue. Perfect cutouts.

This is my experience, using both original, and revised Caudabe Sheath:

Take your Sheath and hold it up next to your (naked) iPhone. Hold them both up to a light so you can see how far your buttons stick out. If the Sheath's buttons stick out from the case exactly as much as a naked iPhone, that seems to be from the original batch. If the Sheath's buttons stick out noticeably more (maybe twice as much button height?), then it's probably the "fixed" version.
