Just got my Synthesis delivered and this is definitely not the case for me. I don't feel like this case will protect against any type of table or waist level drop. Had high hopes that this would be the one case for me but alas, going back to Amazon today.
Don’t get the sheath then lol, have dropped mine from table height on hardwood floor no probs. It’s more about how it falls and what it lands on than the case, no case is perfect for drops.

I see in some videos this case is very weak near the volume buttons and charge port ? Can anyone recommend a case that fits right like pitaka but full coverage like the sheath?
Thanks
The sheath pulls away from the edges easier than the synthesis, and not as tight a fit, my last one fell on a cupboard draw and chipped/cracked the GSP where it hit for that reason, could of cracked the screen with out the GSP.

Interesting. I guess everyone just uses their phones different. I’ve been using the Sheath for probably five years now. I’ve dropped it countless times and it’s never once had an issue. The best part is that even after dropping them so much, they still look new. Really tough cases. If you’re looking for thicker protection, Caudabe cases aren’t for you. But no one beats them for thin protective cases IMO. Just really well made cases.

I have the MagSafe version of the Sheath coming on Monday. I just hope the MagSafe is strong enough to use with my car holder.

I’ll report back on Monday.
Well, the Caudabe Sheath with

MagSafe arrived this morning:

Pros:

- Magnet is strong enough to keep hold on my car holder/charger
- Charges most of the time with my MagSafe charger
- Buttons are clicky enough

Cons:

- Uneven fit. Right side is snug to the phone. Left side shows a sliver of the silver all down the side in the front
- After using in the MagSafe charger for any length of time - shows a whitish ring on the case. Wipes off with a wet microfiber but still silly to have to wipe it down each time
- The case has a noticeable bump at the top of the MagSafe circle - can see and feel it

I guess I’m back to using my white Apple silicone case which has no issues and still looks like new.

Totally agree!

Got my Sheath with MagSafe today. Was a little too excited for a case, but this has been a long time coming since I've started to use MagSafe accessories.

Let me just say that I LOVE this case. The magnets are strong and work with all of. I can tell that it's slightly thicker than my Sheath without MagSafe, but not by much. The case otherwise feels like a Sheath. The fit is very precise and snug. The buttons are noticeably better than the Sheath I had before. Very, very tactile feedback, almost like having no case at all. Texture on the outside is the same great Sheath texture that I've always loved.

I got one of those wireless charger MagSafe stands from the Apple Store specifically to use with this case and it works great. The phone looks like it's just floating in the air.

A+ in my book. Will probably order a few more for other members of the family now.

Weird, my experience is pretty much the opposite of yours. Maybe you just got a dud? No issues charging at all, definitely no uneven fit. The fit on this is actually even better than on my original Sheath. The original Sheath I had was a really tight fit (almost too tight). This one fits perfectly without a struggle. Very happy with the overall fit and finish.

Here's what my bump looks like. When on the phone, it’s noticeable from the back by both look and feel.

I sent Caudabe a photo of the bump and they are sending me a new one. 😄

Ah ok, no bump on mine. Glad they took care of you. Their customer service has always been top notch in my experience.

I know this is only a case, but I absolutely love this new Sheath. The fit is outstanding and the improvement in the buttons alone is huge. I never had an issue with the buttons on my other Sheath (in fact I really liked my other Sheath), but these buttons are noticeably more clicky now that I'm comparing them side by side. The strong MagSafe magnets are the icing on the cake. I have to admit, I didn't really see the point of MagSafe accessories originally. But now that I have a Sheath with MagSafe, I'll probably get more. Thank you Caudabe......for making me spend more money? 😂

I totally noticed how clicky the buttons are - love that.

I’m just hoping my replacement is good with no bump and hopefully the bump wasn’t caused by using it on my car MagSafe holder/charger. I didn’t carefully check the case before I slapped it on the phone and on to the charger.

For what's it worth, I've used it in a car holder, a desktop wireless charger stand thing, and now the Apple MagSafe cable, and everything has worked perfectly with no issues. Fit and finish on this thing are superb. Easily the best Caudabe case I've had (and I probably have over 10 and counting by now).

Only thing is I would love this in more colors, but the black looks classy as usual.

Family received their MagSafe Sheath for the 12 Pro yesterday and I checked it out. Great MagSafe implementation. Case fits like a glove and feels quality. You can tell the case is a little thicker than before, but it's still very slim. In the hand it feels just as nice as before. I've always loved the Sheath texture. I also noticed the button feedback difference. Very tactile. All in all an excellent update. If this is what the iPhone "13" Sheath will be, that's a launch day buy for me.

I'm still enjoying my MagSafe Synthesis for my Pro Max. If they release a MagSafe Sheath for the Pro Max, I'll probably switch again, but I'm surprised how much I like the Synthesis.

Update replying to myself. LOL.

Received the replacement today. Looks great with no bump and works fine on my car holder/charger. Happy camper here with my new Caudabe Sheath MagSafe.

I recently bought the new Sheath with MagSafe capability. Absolutely love it. Perfect fit (almost too perfect - have to make sure screen protector is perfectly aligned), super clicky buttons (new design from my old Sheath) and MagSafe works just as it should. Great option to switch off from my Apple Silicone case. Caudabe nailed it with this one.

with smaller notch 120hz and bigger batteries i wont be able to resist upgrading lol

Just received my MagSafe version of the sheath for my 12 pro. This is now my daily case.

While I am not a mag safe person per se, I don't like the idea of a case not being able to utilize it appropriately. So, hence the purchase.

That said, it is slightly different from my regular sheath.

The texture on the case seems slightly softer, the lip is definitely firmer (which is awesome), the case is ever so slightly thinker than the original case, and, they have greatly improved the buttons.

Top notch case for sure

Can you post a couple of photos? I've been looking around YouTube and there's not a single video of the updated Sheath.
