Very nice! The silicone case is definitely bulkier. I might do the same and have one nice leather option and the Sheath.
That’s EXACTLY the fit issues on the case that scratched the hell out of my daughter’s pacific blue 12 Pro steel side. It was one scratch. It was deep but didn’t expose any silver because Apple did put a very thick coating on these phones.
I was sent a replacement that had the same exact issue. But there was one sent to me at the same time as my daughter got hers and it fit fine so I gave it to her. But even the non defective Lucid Clear just didn’t feel like the ones we had on her Xr, my old Xr and my 11 Pro or even my SE2.
I got us Casekoo clear TPU/hard plastic back cases instead and those work out better for us because we have decided we want to change our cases more this year. Usually we just stick the Lucid Clear on and forget about it.
I wanted to get a 12 Pro Max Sheath in blue for my husband for Christmas but it looks like it might be a bit of a wait for the new inventory. Caudabe did give me discounts and free screen protectors as a sort of apology for what happened to my daughter’s phone.
I don’t blame them. Flat clear highly polished steel sides, what could possibly go wrong?
They did ask me to send in the defective case so they could analyze the problem. So I sent it to them.
Hmm, they said they won't be sending out a revised version until 1-2 weeks when I contacted them last week... hopefully the version they sent me isn't the one they sent you. I'm looking at comments regarding the Sheath as well and seems like there's also fitment issues. Maybe it's best to wait 1-2 months so they can iron out all the small issues.
Ok I exchanged the Apple Silicone for the Apple Leather case and you’re right it’s definitely slimmer and much nicer than the silicone. Thanks for steering me lol
Really like my black sheath must of got lucky straight up, such a perfect fit and feel, slimmer and less of a lip than than my apple black leather which i like, just waiting for my magsafe charger to arrive to test, but will probably sell the leather case.

They told me today that the black revised models are already available so maybe you did get a revised model. Some of the colors are still a week out.
I've also been a satisfied Caudabe customer for my last 3 or 4 iPhones. Even though I've also tried other manufacturers my preferred cases were always the Caudabes. Because of this I ordered 2 Sheaths for my 12ProMax, a gray and a black. The gray is fine but the black one suffers from the same fitment issues so many others have noted: both top and bottom panels bow out due to the cases being too small. The same problem exists on the sides but to a lesser degree. I've also been promised a replacement whenever a revised mold is finalized with no return requirement.
Well I got tempted by an offer by Casetify and ordered one of those. What a nightmare I had and 4 different order changes later because stock was running out, so I cancelled my order and will never bother with them again.
I’m back to this brand and will order a navy blue sheath I am thinking for my blue iPhone 12. Can you guys tell me please if this model has been one of the sources of fitment issues? These cases are still nicer looking than the Apple cases in my opinion but knowing my luck i’ll have to return it unless I get an up to date revision model lol.

Can’t help you on the blue but my black is great, got it 3 weeks ago now so must of been a early one. I have the black apple leather too, sheath is better, bit smaller and lip not as high which I like, doesn’t show marks.
Isn‘t there a seller there? There is one here in Melbourne better than buying from US and waiting 3 weeks, easier return too if needed.
They eventually turn up on Amazon but the sheath hasn’t arrived on there yet. I’d rather buy from Amazon as the returns are so easy. I haven’t found a UK supplier as yet. Thanks for the info btw
The magsafe charger works good with the sheath, doesn't grip as hard as the apple leather still enough to work so is easier to get off. Only used it once with the apple leather and can see the ring mark, nothing on the sheath.
Hi all, does the Sheath case for iPhone 12PM fit the iphone with a Spigen full cover screen protector without lifting up the edges? Is it Spigen screen protector friendly?

My thin fit Spigen case is perfect fit wise with a Spigen screen protector. The sides ever so slightly hug all around the iPhone frame.
I hope Caudabe sends me the revised Sheath case. I heard there is some issues with fit with Sheath ones. I chose the black because I prefer black color and all other colors was out-of-stock at the time of purchase. Was the black color specifically the more problematic color compared to gray, navy, sea green, electric blue??

Well got my replacement sheath today and the grip is a night and day difference from my first one. The first one I had feels like it’s been used already as it’s worn down so much.
Grip? Didn’t know some had faulty texture as you say. I thought it was only fitment issues. Interesting.
Yeah, I bought a sea green and had no issues with fitment, but the grip seemed off. Glad I went with my gut and requested a replacement, since it’s a night and day difference between the replacement and the first one I got. The first one feels like it’s already been worn down. Felt like a bar of soap
Well glad problem is solved. The grip texture is the main unique feature about these cases so if that’s not right other than slimness and A+ fitment then it defeats the purpose lol
I bought a Sheath for my iPhone 12 mini in grey, received it yesterday and unfortunately it doesn't fit well, and still doesn't hug the sides in the middle. Contacted support, I guess ill see what they say Monday.
Late reply but yes, the Apple leather case is definitely slimmer than the Sheath.
I actually disagree I own both an Apple leather case and a sheath case and the sheath is slimmer not by much but definitely slimmer. When I wear the apple leather case on my phone I feel a slight bulk over the Sheath. But hey not trying to create a dispute over this. I love both my apple leather and sheath. They’re always my 2 go to cases and both are definitely slim cases.
