New macs are nice but.....

The new macs are nice but as in everything else, i never like to buy version number one of anything. Even though its still mac book, its still a redesign. From experience just looking at any new product, wait till the bugs are worked out then go for it. A little bit of patience saves a lot of frustration.

Eh Im pretty happy with my replacement but I am now noticing that my lid seems to be more tightly closed around the center near the track pad than it does at the outside edges.

Eh bothersome but I doubt it is too much to be worried about.

I haven't had any issues whatsoever with my MacBook Pro, either with the software nor the hardware and I absolutely love it; no "slanted" keys, no dents or uneven spots in the casing, no issues with the screen, it's perfect.

Same here, but not a MBP, :D

No issues from my 2.4 mbp, this has been all that I thought It'd be, honestly. I'm definitely a fanboy of Apple now. I was looking for creative ways to better my credit - so, what better way to do that than taking out a loan on a rediculously high-priced laptop? :D

I'm expecting at least 2-3 years out of this sucker as my main laptop. Hopefully, I can boost it even more with an XG station or something like it (if that thing will ever come out!)

There's been so much talk of massive defects and huge issues with this first wave, but, call me lucky, I haven't seen a single thing! I think if you look for little insignificant things that bug you, you'll probably find them.

Since the hard drive is so easy to upgrade, you'll definitely be able to get extra years out of it by putting in a solid state drive when the prices come down. And if you didn't get 4GB of RAM, that'll be another upgrade you can perform to make it faster.

Does anyone else's new MBP have a right speaker which is much louder than the left? It's bugging the hell out of me, everything sounds like it's coming from the right side.

Otherwise, everything else is great.

I have just got a new macbook (sorry a little off topic) but it has this problem which I too find really annoying and I am in this forum as I am about to exchange for a pro and was hoping thios is one of the improvements I caould expect.

Si I too would be interested if this is a common problem - sound coming from only (mainly) the right side)
