I have the otter box defender. I am so pleased with this case. They changed the outer layer and it is awesome.

I bought an Otterbox Defender case, but I think it is going back. I like how it protects the phone and the screen, but it is too bulky for me.

I liked the griffin reveal and the speck candyshell black. Ended up going speck it feels nicer in the hand and sturdier in design

I bought another Acase Superleggera PRO Dual-Layer Protection Cover for The New iPhone 5 (BLACK / BLACK).
Had one on the 4S and it was great.Ordered another black but a few additional colors are available this for the 5.
2 piece protection and my 4S looked like new when I sold it last Friday.

I need just a simple, yet durable case.

I don't want to buy it online. What store has the best prices/selection?
I live near all the major stores. Apple, AT&T, Radioshack, Best Buy, etc..

I will probably go with an Otterbox Commuter, but let' talk about screen protectors for a moment, what did everyone go with? I bought Zagg EXTREME Invisible Shield and it is really thick and heavy and very blurry right now, I may try to exchange it back to a thinner one. They said the screen would be cloudy for a day or two but this is ridiculous. I hate putting those stupid things on there.

I bought this bumper

Tumi has a nice looking carbon fiber case out

If anyone knows of a carbon fiber case with a rubber surround, please let me know.

Thanks!

It's pricey at $65 but looks very nice. I have their iPad cover and its expensive but very well made.

I have the Cygnett with the Carbon Fiber mentioned a few posts back. Nice case, it's not actually rubber around the sides though, it's rubber-coated plastic.

I think as long as its grippy, I'm okay with that. I need the ability to set my phone at an angle, proped up against something for viewing.

Mind posting a few pics?

I bought the Griffin Reveal Case today and so far like it. I don't think I want a screen shield though. I like it better without one.

Is it true about the Otterbox Defender that it causes heat problems for the iPhone 5?

I dont know about heat problems, but I have felt some heat. Probably not good, and another reason I'm returning the otterbox defender. BUT, no where near as hot as I used to make my samsung galaxy s3 and galaxy nexus from romming and over clocking the processor :D

Bought a plastic case from GameStop for $10 to tie me over until my otter box came in.. Also ordered on GameStop.com

Haven't felt any heat issues on my Defender.

After a little over a day, I must say that Otterbox seems to have outdone themselves with the new rubber "formula"

It seems like it will hold its shape much better and is a lot slicker (which is a good thing, to me).

It fits in your pocket but definitely adds bulk and you can easily tell you have a phone in there and I dont even wear skinny jeans :D

I guess i'll pick up the commuter then, The IP4/4S defender was thick i was hoping with the thinner phone it would a little more pocketable. I hate dealing with screen protectors.
